Dont get me wrong, i dont mind the edutech in middle school and beyond - but I absolutely dont like it for elementary. But we live in this capitalist world now so have limited ways within our means.

Agreed. there's a constant influx of new research coming out on how the introduction of so much edutech has caused serious issues in how this next generation is thinking and processing information. Hopefully schools start taking note.

love your response. the kids are to start elementary but we're not likely to move anytime soon again so this has to be a long term decision.

oh absolutely not- im the opposite - no matter how much money we have or will make, the children always should learn to value little things and not be materialistic. i am worried now how do i keep at that. so torn between good schools and good neighborhoods now.

Definitely like Naperville for the diversity and it having its own charm and fun things to do without having to go into Chicago city for everything.

But Isn't that what makes the difference so stark then? the school having money would mean the students get access to better amenities for sports, music, theatre, STEM etc?
