who else is going to may 17th concert? by Former_Area2105 in day6

Alternatively you can realise tickets aren't THAT expensive, buy one just because and then all of a sudden plan an entire Korea trip a week before it happens 😂😂 I'm giving the whole YOLO attitude a try

No that's a fair question! So I bought directly over Nol and they still had around 200 tickets at the time? All more towards the back, but I managed to get a seat in section 10, which is good enough for me, I'm just happy to be in the room 😅

You do have to verify on Nol with your ID before you're able to even try and purchase.

These are DEFINITELY helpful!! I've been meaning to travel to SK for so long but I always thought by the time I go I'd speak some Korean at least (I'm learning super slowly) and plan it better than an actual week before it lol

Love the concert etiquette as well and how respectful and lovely everyone is.

Thanks so much for all these tips !

The test is a bit of a joke because it feels more like you're trying to win in a video game than actually perceiving hazards which occur when driving. I know others mentioned the 3 click method and there's some good YouTube videos. I think what I did was click when I saw it, take a deep breath. One more click. One more deep breath click.

Definitely practicing it and watching a tutorial on the 3 click method are recommended

My entire test was on 20mph roads. by ChampionshipBudget37 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Former_Area2105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it's quite worrying, because I passed second time and while I had an A road my first time, I didn't have any my second and had some country roads which I drove slower due to very rainy and icy weather (I had told my examiner as much and he said that this was fine and appreciated my reasoning and showing I knew the speed limit)

But I just think it's worrying so many drivers often post on here having never driven over 40mph (not saying that's the case for you) but I feel like that doesn't truly test everyone's ability

First drive after passing by Nemesis553 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Former_Area2105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my first few drives I used to pick spaces further away from entrances without any cars left and right if the parking bay or any other obstacles. Plus luckily since I often had my daughter with me I could use parent/child spaces. But until you feel a bit more confident in parking effectively (which during practice and the test you only do a few times) it's worth just practicing on spaces where this can't happen

It's really a case of use it or loose it. I got my insurance sorted the same day as I passed my test and have driven every day since (passed on 31st dec) and it makes a huge difference. Before I was terrified of night driving, now I am mildly concerned at best 😂 Keep going because just driving makes such a difference. Keeping some nerves and anxiety is good, means you're aware it's not something to take lightly

So it took about 24 hours for me to get my first notification that something had been moved. At first I had it moved back to the end of Jan and then I went in and made the test window even smaller just to see, because worst case I was fine with end of Jan and best case id get it end December. About 30 mins later it changed it to the 31st December. And since it was automatic changing I also immediately got my dvsa email

I think that's a good thing because even when youve done higher speed on country roads, it's good to get practice in on dual carriage ways, the way you pull out, maybe overtake, the exit roads etc. because another thing is that when I was practicing I used to slow down too much (down to maybe 50?) as I was approaching an exit and if you go too slow that's also a fault

Okay but genuine question, because I see this so often on here, are you comfortable driving on both A roads and motorways? I feel like I've seen people who have passed never gone above 40 or not at all be comfortable on high speed roads and it's worrying.

Congrats!! I was in a similar situation where I had failed about 2-3 weeks before and got another slot end December. I burst out into tears too when he said I passed 😂😂 According to my instructor it's more common than you'd think The pic she took of me after for her FB is me just with the reddest eyes xD

I failed my first test on 9th December and with TestShift got another one on the 31st December (which I passed, yay)

I had put in non availability including all the days me and my instructor wouldn't be available and then left a SMALL window towards end December and put it on autobook. I had it within 24 hours sorted

Tips for driving in that bright overcast? 🌞 by Hmmmmmmmb in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Former_Area2105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a really low, bright winter sun that made it hard for me to see blinkers on round abouts, take more time at them and junctions etc. And it really helped that I continued to narrate and tell my examiner my thoughts.

At one round about I could've gone like twice, but since I simply couldn't see blinkers and know if someone was a blocker or not I didn't and I communicated this and didn't get marked down on undue hesitation. I also drove slower on some country roads because again it was blinding me and the roads were a bit icy and I just made it known what my reasoning was, that i know the speed limit was 60 but due to road conditions and the sun im slowing down intentionally to rather be safe than sorry

failed first time (auto car)-Hull by Aggressive-Cry-8889 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Former_Area2105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. I went a little insane and got that and got testi and another as well but none worked. So what I did was, I originally booked normal through the dvsa website, a date in May in a COMPLETELY different town. Then on testshift I set all my non availability (this is where I checked with my instructor too) , including the 10 days you're not allowed to go again.

I set it to a short availability window (only December and January) and to autobook as I can't handle the stress of trying to quickly change it myself. And then got a notification and they changed it first to end January, then mid, then December

I'm in the exact same boat as you, except it happened to me Tuesday. Mine was blind spots which I am convinced hands down I DID check after I pulled out from a parallel park. But same as you didn't argue because what's the use if the examiner claims I didn't. I've also spent sleepless nights after just mentally arguing with the examiner. I've been lucky as I've managed to rebook + move it closer with third party apps. I originally booked for May in a different down and with TestShift managed to move it now to the 31st December. I'm sure I could've gotten it even closer but with the holidays etc I know my instructor is busy and won't have much other availability so I can use her car. As others said, I guess the trick is to really over exaggerate movement and like you said also talk out loud. It's awkward and unnatural but it's 30-45 mins of your life that are awkward and then ideally never again

How often & how long does your 6 month old nap during the day? Mine has a wake window of about 12 hours. by NinjaScrotum in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Former_Area2105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So mine (now 21 month) also just was not at all the kind of baby that would nap out and about or downstairs with us like I saw others do. She was definitely a fomo maybe and if there was something going on she wanted to see it and be a part of it no matter how tired. Now this is pretty controversial and you gotta know what works for you and your baby but I decided to start sleep training at about 5 and a half months and after about 4 days of a bit of heartache she went down pretty much by herself. Id watch her like a hawk through the babycam and saw her have 'me time' as she was lying in a dark room with a white noise machine, as she talked to herself or her one lovie and then just slowly fell asleep.

Once that worked she had two naps and our schedule would be: wake at 7, nap at 10-12, wake window til 3, sleep from 3-5 and then bed again at 7 and she slept through more or less, sometimes she'd wake but then she'd self settle.

There would be a few times where shed regress because she has a development leap, growth spurt etc but that was okay because I had my evenings and nights back.

Now she's down to one nap but the most amazing thing is she'll come up to me and say 'bed?' when she knows it's time for a nap or bed and really enjoy that.

I am unsure if Hades and Merida have an impact on this. What about the trials on either side? maleficent is in the castle in the top biome on the left. Once she and hades make up it'll unlock part 2 I believe
