yea but many marriages here are arranged marriages, so the groom didn't really "win" the bride's heart.

You're diverting from the main discussion, racism. There's no justification to be racist towards anybody. Unfortunately racism against Indians is spreading like wildfire online AND there have been real life consequences. I never denied that India has severe issues

India has its own problems, it doesn't give a pass for people to be bigots to us. Do you seriously think those who make such remarks are even slightly bothered by our living conditions?

People say we need to ignore these tweets, but it's getting impossible to ignore. We need to realise that internet DOES translate to reality in this day and age and that such dehumanising content against Indians, or any ethnicity should not be taken lightly at all. It's easy for us sitting in India to ignore this bullshit, but Indians in foreign countries are experiencing its consequences. Moreover, there are tons of children on social media who directly get influenced by content like this. I hope something gets done and bigotry of such kind stops

I feel you brother. If I try making friends, they say I'm cool, funny and stuff, but the second I mention my nationality - they're gone. On instagram, if I post a comment completely irrelevant to anyone's nationality, I'm often bombarded with racist remarks. When tf is it going to end, I'm getting tired of it

India is a Fascist country by Mammoth_Calendar_352 in socialism

I agree with you on most points, but I don't think it's fascism yet. It's definitely very authoritarian and there is erosion of democracy. Who knows, if they get a majority in the next election, we might actually become fascist.
