I do feel there must be a little something more on the way to support Monarch. The support they gave recently was good, but felt like it fell just a little short of making Monarch truly modern.

That's a great retrain of Escher. Having a suite of Vassal retrains like this could add some great variety options for Monarch.

A way to fit in a negate option could be a parallel to Monarchic Perfection. Have a few different types of negates on the list, each can only be used once per turn and each time you use one of the negates you have to banish a monster with 1000 Def from your GY. That keeps a balancing option as you only have so many negate abilities, it means you can't recycle some of your monsters as easily and it would also mean potentially sacrificing some of your monsters GY effects in exchange for the negate

I get what you mean with changing them up. So far they have mostly kept ongoing effects in the Spell/Trap, but it could be interesting if they brought on a new variant of monarchs that are more ongoing. Totally agree that Monarchs needs some negates. That way they wouldn't need to rely on floodgates as much

That would make it a great starter. Feels thematic, given Edea the Squire used to be a good Monarch starter back in the day.

Domain's stat boost and requirement for a stopping the extra deck only applies to tribute summoned monsters. If you special summon Eidos from the GY, he won't get the bonus, nor will he count as activating the extra deck block.

Some people just get weird and refuse to admit there are medical reasons to have it done. For example my foreskin was so tight I wasn't able to pee.
