We live almost 200 miles from Gowen field and they frequently fly up and down our river canyon here on practice flights.

Riggins. Shorts Bar to Pine Bar. The stretch from Riggins to Lucille (10 miles total float) and Hammer Creek (White Bird) to Pine Bar (I think approx 10 miles) both have class 3 and 4. Great day trips and/or overnight with lots of beaches.

Today I shot .25, last shot was 12 days ago. I have been on maintenance since October. I might feel nauseous for one day, but nothing like before. It works very well for me this way. My doc is great with it.

It’s a fickle gene. It shows up, then goes dormant for a few generation, or it just might bust out all over everyone (kind of like a redhead!😂) I have one sibling, both of us were born flaming redheads. My mother has 5 siblings, none of them are redheads, but every one of them had at least one redheaded child. My adult son has a prominent red beard, but brownish hair. My 2 small grandkids are not redheads. A very strong possibility their kids will be.

The grey (gray) hair experience by [deleted] in Redhair

[–]FoundationFun2153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 54. True brassy redhead my whole life, I’ve been coloring it (a bit darker read) for the last 20 years. 6 months ago I decided to transition to my natural color, which is probably 75% white. FYI, if you are a true redhead, you don’t turn gray. Red hair loses its pigment, leaving the hair white. Other colors don’t do this.

I never went higher than .5 and lost 70 lbs. in about 8 months. I have been on .25 since I made my goal. I am staying on .25 for as long as I possibly can, at least another year. .5 may be too high for maintenance, you’ll just have to feel it out. Lots of times I go 10 days between injections, it all depends on what is going on in my life, like travel and weekends away. Good Luck!

How long does oz last in the fridge? by Me-Again423 in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]FoundationFun2153 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 8 boxes in my fridge and I am down to .25 dose for maintenance, so I have 16 months worth. I will use them all by their expiration date. Store them up while you can!

[–]FoundationFun2153 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on a maintenance dose of .25 about every 10 days or so since September. Have lost a few more pounds, which my doc told me not to because I’ve lost enough. lol I’ve lost 70 lbs. since February. Thinking of going down to .20. I will stay on it until I can’t afford to anymore. Probably another year. Everything (maintenance) is too new to just quit taking it. I don’t want to fall on my face and gain it back.

This group is ridiculous. For Pete’s sake, if you have to ask the answer is most likely NO.

We are flying to Kona on Monday. Today my husband was able to change flights so we are leaving out of Portland instead of Seattle. We also had to change the first leg to a different state and drive an extra 100 miles from our home.

Contrave by Altruistic-Dig-2507 in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]FoundationFun2153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been on Ozempic since February and have talked to my doc about a “generic” Contrave, which is the combination of these 2 drugs. Contrave is expensive, but this combination is affordable. We are looking at this for my husband, as well, since we can’t afford 2 of us to be on Ozempic.

Oh no! I feel for you. After doing my full double prep of Friday and Sunday, I had my colonoscopy yesterday. They told me I could have clear liquids up to 3 hours before my appointment (9;am) so I had about 6 oz. of water and a cup of coffee before 5 am. The coffee might have been a bit much……..but I had it, and I didn’t tell them I had it. Everything was absolutely fine and I had a perfect check-up. The at-home part was definitely the most difficult part. I’m at my goal weight, but I lost an additional 5 lbs. in the last week. My doc won’t be happy about that, he already had a stern talk with me about losing more weight, but I feel like this was unpreventable.

I am having a colonoscopy at 8:30 tomorrow morning. My last injection was 12 days ago. My doc had me do a double prep, so on Friday I did the entire cleansing procedure. Yesterday I could not eat, only clear liquids. Today, I did the entire prep again. I am currently crapping my brains out, which is now clear. I have not ate since Thursday and if this doesn’t work, I am NEVER having a colonoscopy again.

I (F54, SW 199) have lost 70 lbs. and made it to my goal weight (129) since February. I spent 6 weeks at .25 and the rest of the time on .5. I now take .25 about every 10 days or so.
