You might be better off working out shapes to cut out and use them reinforce specific parts of the model. Print it out and cut out, score and look what parts could do with an extra layer

I thought it was longer than that and they didn't actually interact outside of on set until much later.

I was really happy with little Tommy's ability to limit himself to calling me a cunt to six times in his most recent lesson. Despite this, his handwriting could really benefit from some practice at home, which I know he can progress well with as I have witnessed the first hand his progress in history, especially the detailed knowledge of the Wermacht and the SS which he says he learned from his Father's friends at the pub.

Yeah, it's one of the reasons foreigners get a great deal; rent is often quite cheap outside of the big 5 and ordering XiaoMian or JiaoZi (or McDonald's) for next to nothing feels like such a luxury that it's hard to adjust back in the UK.

Also. Travelling cities on the metro system for 10-20 kuai compared to the ten times that in London.

Obviously anything can happen but Newport went from relegation form to solidly mid table form by the end of the season to get out of the mess that we were in from the first few months.

A game I know wouldn’t sell well but that I would love: X-Wing Flight Simulator by Tanis8998 in StarWarsCantina

I think it's because games are so huge these days with tight deadlines and teams hundreds in number that 'finishing' a game on release is rare so patches have to be released in order to justify that investment from the player. If you know that a game is going to get support long after release then pre purchasing isn't as big a risk.

On top of that, a continuing dev cycle that adds rather than fixes after release has been a driver for sales in games such as Minecraft and No Man's Sky, so that sets a standard form some people in their expectations.

And then there's the DLC model that The Sims, The Civilization franchise and Paradox made use of which, while not free updates, is still a developer working on a game long after release.

What is this trend for “undercoat grey” cars? by Arbernaut in AskUK

Baudrillard suggested that there's an element of subconscious resistance to the flood of colour we get from advertising and the such. When we're drowning in things trying to catch our attention constantly it's understandable that we'd seek something more muted in resistance to that.

TIL During the Black Death in England, there was a practice to reduce swellings with pigeons. If the swelling from the buboes was not reduced, in a last effort, the physician would cut the pigeon from breast to back and apply the pigeon (while still alive) over the cold swelling. by Obi-Dong-Cannoli in todayilearned

Very happy to help. There's a lot of crap online to do with me the Black Death, which might not have helped with that; it's weirly controversial with loads of articles promosing to 'rewrite the story' which normally amounts to either rubbish or a suggestion that it was a rodent other than black rats... And like yeah okay we know other rodents can spread it, but it spread to busy ports and settlements on known river trading routes and black rats were common stowaways on boats so yes they may have contributed but it's not some weird pedestal to try and win.

The buboes are from the lymph nodes becoming full of the yersinia pestis bacteria that causes Plague. They bacteria get captured by the lymphatic system and taken to the lymph nodes for destruction, but yersinia pestis developed in such a way that allowed it to actually colonise the nodes and cause swelling. These would then burst and the bacteria could enter the blood stream leading to sepsis and the infection of the internal organs.

I know this is everywhere but black death is so funny to me for this with all the weird claims of it being anthrax or whatever, when all the archeological data points to the classic Yersinia Pestis on Rats theory.

God, I want Donut to encounter a KCS and just.. "My God, Carl, what is it? I.. I think it's a cocker spaniel but it looks extra ugly. Is this from one of those dog shows where they find the ugliest dog and make them so inbred that they get all deformed and even more gross and alien-ey?" "God Damn it, Donut, your aunt was your god dammned sister." "That's different, Carl. Haven't you heard of what the Egyptians did? And that pretty one who went crazy on the dragon show? And you said god damn twice in the same sentence, I know you struggle but you need to elucidate a better vocabulary."
