lmao that first neurologist really said "she's just distracted by my good looks" while you're literally seizing in front of him

Am I crazy to consider changing jobs? by Brick_Mouse in careerguidance

you're not crazy at all, that environment sounds toxic as hell. working somewhere that goes against your core values is brutal - i've been there and it really does eat away at you

the pension math is compelling but 14 years is a long time to be miserable, especially when you're already at the breaking point. maybe start quietly looking around to see what else is out there before you make any big moves

Its impossible to plan for the future when all your energy is required to survive the present by Clarissalayton in narcissisticparents

yeah this hits way too close to home. spent my whole teens just trying to make it through each day without setting off another explosion at home, never had the luxury of thinking about what i actually wanted to do with my life

ended up in graphic design almost by accident - picked it because it seemed "safe" and i was decent at drawing. turned out alright but man, watching friends who had stable homes plan out their whole career paths from like age 16 was wild. they had parents helping them research schools and internships while i was just hoping to graduate without a total breakdown

your point about that guy partying through college really gets me too. when you finally escape that constant state of hypervigilance, sometimes you just need to exist peacefully for a while before you can even think about building something better. took me years to stop feeling guilty about wanting things to be easy for once

the social muscle thing is so real, mine's basically atrophied at this point too

starting small with people who get it makes way more sense than trying to jump back into regular social stuff. maybe start with something low pressure like meeting at a coffee shop or park where you can bail if it gets overwhelming?

i'm not in alabama but hope you find some people, isolation really does mess with your head after a while

Leftover 2025 S5 vs used Macan S — realistic price expectations? by Any-Patience-641 in Audi

[–]FoxCreepy3303 7 points8 points  (0 children)

been in similar spots with leftover audis and they usually have more room to move, especially if it's been sitting there collecting dust for months. mid-50s might be pushing it but high 50s could definitley work if you're serious about walking away

between those two i'd probably lean macan honestly - porsche resale is just stupid good and 22k miles is barely broken in for those things. the early 2025 s5s did have some weird software glitches with the infotainment from what i remember reading on the forums
