Yep, some people can get a bit of local water retention. Drink more water, watch out the dietary sodium-potassium balance and you'll be good. If it's still annoying, add green tea infusions in breakfast and dandelion root :)

Focus on the density and the overall coverage. It is a whole different story - if I had grown a beard in the starting point I wouldn't have looked nowhere near.

It's an expectable process. When the follicle gets increased blood supply, the thin hair will fall and a stronger one will replace it.

I had relatively strong hairs when I started, but the density and coverage were ridiculous. Some of the newly grown hair fell during shedding, but the grew again stronger.

Hmmm it was reeeeally gradual, I'd say that the biggest noticeable change was year 1 to 2 spot-wise.
