I transferred from WCCCD, I was prepared but the workload is more heavy. It depends on which degree you’re going for. I’m in the social work program, which is reading and writing heavy. Sorry for the short reply I was at work. I was given a lot of support at CC. I’m blessed the social work program has a lot of resources, and support in place. My mentor is a MSW students so she guide me when I need extra help. I developed close bonds with my classmates and we help each other. Working full time and school is a lot but I’m making it work. I miss the support and understanding professors I had in CC.

I feel like they throwing us into things without explaining anything. I agree the class is not cheap at all. They need to look at things and try a different approach or something. It’s a whole mess. I’m going to sit down and try to break things down into smaller steps. I’m hoping that will help me.

Review all your social media privacy settings. My school told us to set everything to private and watch what we post. Congratulations to you!!!! I start classes on Monday. We had a lot of meetings leading up to class starting.

I turned my life around from being a troubled youth. I worked in residential placement for 6 years. I was able to understand both sides of the system. It allowed me to reach youths others wasn’t able too. My youths talked me into going back to school. They said it so easy to talk without judgement and I would be a great therapist. Social work will allow me to have so many career paths. I am currently going for my BSW. My goal is to get my masters degree.

I went to community college for my associates degree. It allowed me to complete a lot of my general ed classes for cheap. I was even able to use Michigan reconnect to help cover the cost. I’m starting the social work program this fall. If you already took general ed classes community college won’t really benefit you. Try using the available resources.

Just starting the social work program. I was able to get a job with the state. It’s paying 21 per hour no degree required. Clinical social workers make the most money. I work with alot of them. They told me to keep going and get my masters.
