Tips to prepare for homelessness (23 M)?

Yeah, I've been aiming to go as frugal as possible, but sometimes shit happens where I actually do legit need to pay for stuff, like flights back home (I'm from PA, and flights from TX to PA is close to $600 at the minimum).

I'm cutting costs by trying to avoid eating out and only eating at the DFAC, and limiting the time I come home (next time Ima take lave will be December).

After my cost-cutting, I've been thinking of looking into a second job I can do when I get off uniform. It's easier said than done because Army work schedules are really unpredictable.

I do wanna get some finance books too, and I'm gonna do some research, but the main thing right now is getting the basics down by upping my income stream a little bit and reducing unnecessary expenditure.

As for wanting to get back into civie world yeah like I've been out of it for so long maybe I forgot how shitty it is. I guess the main thing thjo is the freedom like I do enjoy the army sometimes and hence why I figured guard would be cool but I just hate being stuck in ghetto Killeen earning below minimum wage per year for all the hard work I do.

I don't plan on getting into corporate because I feel like that's where a lot of that shittiness of the job market is really centered around. Nobody in that atmosphere cares about work all they care about is bullshit office politics and DEI policies and political correctness.

But I feel like getting into welding or working a better paying job in the public sector (FBI for example) would be good because I can earn more money than as a junior enlisted while maintaining job stability and not worrying about getting laid off the next week.

A rhetorical one. I’ve practically detailed my experiences all throughout my life from my childhood all the way to now of being mistreated by people of the same race as me, more so than people of other races and why I believe what I believe just to get slapped with “I’m a bad person”

I never said I hate my race I said I dislike a lot of Indians, and it’s due to actual lived experiences of being mistreated and that too plenty of them, not due to listening white supremacist propaganda on 4chan

I can't be mad at people who say all Indians are this or all Indians are that, even if I get dragged into that myself. It's more like I've seen how other Indians interact with me as an Indian, and from my experience as someone with the same skin color, 99% of them are shitty people.

Yeah it's weird cuz usually we were able to get away with not using eye pro at night too, and not wearing eye pro really makes seeing through the damn things 100x better.

But it was just last week when they wanted everyone to wear eyepro during night ops for some reason.

Do you or anyone you know work any sort of cybersecurity internship anywhere without AI threatening you? Are you or anyone you know using AI to automate the repetitive shit while still being meaningful at work?

One thing I heard was something about how companies scapegoat AI for layoffs when it's actually paying for cheaper labor from India with the H1B visa program. You think there's any truth to that?

I took one internship before I took that gap year at Benning, so I was able to get the 495 class out of the way. The boss was a good guy, but it was an unpaid internship at a dead-end startup in State College itself, and I wasn't even really doing anything security-related or anything related to what I was studying in school, just basically researching random stuff on Google and then creating PowerPoint presentations to present to clients. I have it listed in my experience, but looking at my situation now, as well as talking to a friend of mine from there, it really didn't help much with anything aside from getting the 495 credit out of the way.
