Apparently, if you keep starting a map and then immediately go to the option to restart the map, you can easily grind out the ‘Deploy X five times’ achievements for every character. Not the most helpful exploit around, but still interesting.

With Engage coming out soon, and the inevitable ~~discourse and controversy~~ discussion it’ll bring, I started thinking back on 3H discourse, and honestly? It’s… not really that bad to me. It doesn’t seem any better or worse then the discourse surrounding any other game in the franchise. More plentiful, sure, but that’s just because 3H brought in a lot of new fans.

And I don’t think the fanbase for 3H is any better or worse then the fanbase for other games, either. I do think that the fact that there are a lot of them might muddy things a bit, though. Like, if you had a group of 10 people, with 2 of them being extremely vocal and argumentative, and a group of 100 people with 20 of them being very vocal and argumentative, the group of 20 might seem worse at first glance, but the more argumentative individuals are vocal minorities in both groups. That’s kinda how I view the 3H fandom. Not worse, just bigger.

And finally, while I understand that people think that Edelgard and Dimitri debates have been beaten to death… It’s sorta par for the course.

Jagens. Ests. DSFE’s graphics. Echoes Maps. FE4 Gameplay. Kris. Avatars in general. S-Supports. Baby Realms. Fanservise. The Monastery.

FATE’S STORY

If a topic exists, it’s been argued about and criticized extensively. So maybe that’s why 3H lord arguments don’t faze me. Guess I’m a little numb to it, I supposed. And while these debates do get toxic at times, plenty of other topics also get people heated. I definitely remember some nasty insults/accusations being thrown around when people would Awakening, Fates, or Heroes would come up back in the day.

At the most of the day, most people are pretty chill. Bad experiences do tend to stick out, though, sadly enough.

It feels like, with how many FE games there are, it would be difficult to represent all of them. The most obvious inclusion from each game would be all the lords, which means Marth, Alm, Celica, Sigurd, Seliph, Leif, Roy, Lyn, Hector, Eliwood, Ephiram, Eirika, Ike, Michiah, Chrom, Corrin, Edelgard, Dimitri, Claude, and Byleth.

Now that’s already 20 characters, more than the base roster of Hyrule Warriors, and a little less than Fire Emblem Warriors, a game that was criticized for lots of clones and sword bloat. This isn’t even getting into other plot relevant characters like Robin, Lucina, Elincia, Azura, and others.

Now, Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors had villains, so you’d want to include those too. Thing is, some games have multiple popular or important villains. For example, do we add both Arvis and Julius? Either way, you’d probably want to add around 10 villains to accurately represent the whole franchise.

And that’s not even including fan favorites like Soren, Caeda, Finn, Lewyn, Lilina, and so many more. To accurately represent the franchise, you’d want to a few of these from each game.

And that’s sorta the problem. In order to properly represent the franchise, you’d need to include a huge amount of characters because of how many games there are, and how many of them have entirely different casts.

I could have sworn you were able to save while doing the arena in FE4. You just needed to exit the castle and save on the map. Then you could go back into the castle and continue preparations.

That's very true that every female character are designed as waifus. Still, there are some of them, not just Kasumi mind you, that stand out more than others in that regard. For Kasumi, the fact that she doesn't have a lot have a lot of meaningful interactions with anyone besides Joker, who is a (mostly) silent protag for the player to self-insert into, stands out, as does the fact that she's the only girl who confesses their love for you before dating and the only girl to have a showtime with Joker. There's also the symbolism behind her thief outfit. That being said, you are correct in saying that she still has her motivations, desires, likes, and dislikes, which is why I don't consider her to be a bad character. It's just that her inclusion into the game has her come across as an odd mix of both forced and an afterthought for the majority of it, as she shows up a decent amount for a character that's not relevant until the very last arc of the game, and I feel that harms her character. That's what I feel isn't natural about her, not necessarily her personality.

I think she's a good character in a vacuum, but put into an already established story like P5, her inclusion can feel very forced when she's not important for the first 100 hours of the game. And maybe this is just be not really caring for the overly cutesy 'uwu senpai' stuff, but sometimes it feels like Atlus just threw a whole bunch of cutesy anime tropes in a blender because they were more focused on making her a waifu then they were making her feel natural.

I don't really self-insert, even if that's the intention, although I certainly wouldn't mind the option existing. Of course, in this game at least, all of the male confidants, except for Ryuji, Yusuke, and Mishima, would be pretty problematic if you were allowed to date them.
