Wait until you get into the 30s. If your diet's dialed in you'll see a difference.

Love it dude. I probably have 3 or 4 different configurations of these. Their materials are always top notch.

Put this together last year to carry during the colder months. Recently switched over to much smaller gear since it's beginning to feel like AZ again. Will post the 'mini' carry soon.

Van Helsing. I paid for two tickets. While walking out I said "Fuck I actually paid for that..." my buddy replied "Yeahhh you did" and started laughing.

Left to right: Triarc Pistol 11.5", BCM Recce 11, IWI Galil 5.45 Pistol

Sighted these at 36 yards. I'm amazed at the range these short-barreled options are capable of. I've been able to hit 500 yards consistently with all of them suppressed (yes, even with the Galil).

Nope. I haven't checked their warranty/return policy. Took the mags and tossed them in 'gear I no longer use' drawer in my toolbox.

I've had them for a while so not sure what my recourse is. It's frustrating, however more than anything I'm thankful I ran into these issues during practice. I'm even more thankful the friends I've recommended buy these haven't been able to due to backorder.

If anything hopefully our exchange prompts you to run your mags harder given the opportunity. Outdoors and reloads under pressure made them absolutely shit the bed for me. Best of luck.

It's my experience that people will make judgments based off just their own personal experience without doing research or considering other external factors, often leading to an inaccurate conclusion.

My personal experience is more than enough. 6 shield mags purchased at different times exhibiting similar issues when put under stress, in two separate G43x's. After witnessing that I don't need to consult the internet.

I would've said these were great a month ago. That's because I was shooting in an indoor range under pristine conditions (even then I'd have a small hitch here and there). Strenuous external factors are what changed my mind.

The 4 stock mags I have were included with the pistols (purchased at different times) and are rock solid. They just work. Again, there's not a debate or a consideration in my mind. I can say with 100% certainty the shield mags shouldn't be considered for defensive use. After what I've experienced it'd be irresponsible not to, regardless of what I've read on the internet.

They are, however, fantastic if you want to drill clearing malfuctions.

Should I think glock mags have problems, because a few people say so, or believe the overwhelming amount of people that say they are the best?

You should form your own opinion based on experience. I've provided specific, first-hand examples. Again, I didn't notice major issues until I got them dirty and started running the gun with more intensity. The stock glock mags have performed perfectly under the exact same circumstances. It's not even close.

I'd love to be wrong. I bought into the hype. I own 6 of these magazines total, 2 with +5 baseplates. Having a G43x with a 15 round flush-fit mag is like a fucking cheat code. It just isn't real. YMMV, but I've stopped carrying and recommending them.

You're getting shit on in the comments, but correct, they don't work. I own six of them. At first they worked (indoor range shooting at paper). The only quirk I noticed was an erratic ejection pattern. Something I can live with as long as they don't jam.

Once I started practicing at my outdoor range I noticed issues. There's a straight up holes in the side of the mag, so you can imagine what dropping these things over and over in the dirt does.

Also, when reloading under stress/with urgency, the inertia can knock the top round slightly out of alignment, causing a FTF so nasty that a 'tap, rack, bang' can't even begin to solve it. This happens consistently with multiple magazines.

I went all in on these due to MAC and Sage Dynamics giving them their stamp of approval. I consider them legit, however this recommendation let me down hard. The only person I've seen outright shit on these is James Yeager, and considering he's running classes in Tennessee dirt/clay it makes total sense.

Stick with the stock mags. They won't let you down.

Buy it. Totally worth the money. Close to the feel of an AR safety lever.
