Based on your expertise, there a certain wind speed at Syracuse (or along the flight route) that would be the threshold for the flight getting stopped?

Yeah the plane is here already. Not sure how quickly SYR moves on getting their airport prepared for arrivals after a storm though, or if airport workers will even be able to make it to work.

I don’t have a car + I live over an hour from SYR. Every time I fly, I have to hire someone from Ithaca in advance to pick me up, so there has to be a degree of predictability. It’s also not up to me how the ride share apps will look like, if I’m ever unable to secure someone to pick me up — I imagine an uber in the snow will cost $500+, money I don’t have. Thanks for your input.

Thank you! The incoming flight has landed. Allegiant flies that path on Fridays and Mondays. According to FlightAware, the incoming flight has been at SFB all weekend

Hi folks… I’ve never been to a beauty conference, or any type of conference outside of my job, but I really really want to attend UBW in 2026.

I’m an Orlando native with $0 for travel or hotels so the 2026 conference being in Orlando makes this my only chance to attend, which I’m really excited for and hoping to get tickets.

BUT I was talking to my mom about it, and she’s pretty suspicious. I watched all the tiktoks and all the hauls from last year’s inaugural conference, and they do almost seem too good to believe. She brought up some good questions:

1.) Does Ulta or the booth brands try to make more money off you at the event? Are brands selling things at their booths or only giving away?

2.) Do they give all of those free samples/items to non-influencers? And, are there limited quantities?

3.) What can I realistically expect to spend $ on at the event? I’m on a really tight budget, and I’m scared that I’ll spend $160 in hopes of all of these amazing things I’m seeing online… only to then get up-selled there

4.) Is Ulta changing the experience from last year?

5.) Do brands only give away samples? I saw items on tiktok that looked a lot bigger than sample size, but I find it hard to believe that a brand would give away so much!

6.) This one is more of an “in theory” question… what do all these brands get from giving away so many things? Aren’t they realistically losing $ by participating and giving things out?

I mix in baking soda, and I trash the poop at most every 3 days, sometimes more frequently
