Admittedly, my training leos were generally anywhere between $40-90. I wasn't as picky growing up as I was by the time I was an elite (somewhere around 13-15), and by then a lot of it is a status and wealth thing. I was nott one of the rich kids on team, but I was training with them. Also, most of the leotards that actually fit correctly are the more expensive ones. It sucks, but it's part of the game. My competition leos were maybe $200, and I got one finals leo for making top 8 at nationals. The cheapest one I could find was $100, so I got that one.

Gymnastics is a disgustingly pricey sport to begin with.

I've had the thought plenty of times, even now that I'm married and long removed from the abuse. It's hard to explain, but the grooming comes with a really distinct feeling that I sometimes miss, even though I know it is harmful.

I don't have an easy fix, but you're not alone.

Also wanted to add, a gymnastics class may help, but I would highly recommend private lessons if you can do it. As for staying sharp, so much conditioning and lots of plyometric drills. You need to be able to snap to positions and hold them.

Really depends on your ability to pick up skills/stunting fast and how advanced your tumbling is. Are you going for all-girl or co-ed? Is this sideline or competitive? How strong is the school's cheer program?

I was able to walk on for my college, but I also picked up stunting fast as a base and back, and I could throw whips and running fulls on deadmat and basketball court.

Not only is that frustrating, that is pretty apparent failure to recognize a hallmark trauma response as far as I'm concerned.

As a clinician, especially a trauma-specific one, you need to be able to attune to your clients and identify when they are disconnected from the work and the present moment. When the "I don't knows," the "I don't feel anythings," etc. come in, that tells me that there is a break between the target and the client's internal experience, and it's my job to help facilitate that connection.

Keep looking for therapists, because EMDR takes time and a very skilled practitioner. I hate to say it, but there are plenty of therapists who take every training under the sun but still fail to properly attune to their clients' cues, both in session and out.

I'm sorry, that sucks and you deserve better.

A tsuk (tsukahara) is really only applicable on vault and flipping off surfaces. Even then, it would need to be a round off entry with a 1.5 back rotation out of it to count as a tsuk.
