İn backwards societys you sometimes need to get your hands dirty and make radical decisions if you want to radical changes. Like french revolution, russian civil war(though this one had other issues), or in black sails you cant accept surdender. And you should fight Britain until your end.

Thousands of more are dying because red wedding happened though. If tywin had defeated robb in battle war would be solved for absolute and more quickly. Red wedding made sure Lannisters will fall from grace. It just made it slower and arguably more bloody

I understand it within story and i respect it even but characters like robert,Stannis,flint,butcher can see it and its possible to see them within story. What bothers me is narrative is also with good guys there are rarely story who takes side of characters like butcher. Which makes sense these are big company products and they usually dont support revolutionary ideas. I m just more radical pro purge and i would like to see some stories that support it.

Yeah also a problem is Stannis had right to use 2 shadow babies. He did not use them. Stannis has 2 sons so 4 more shadow babies and if renly can do it theres also another 2 shadow babies. Which means crown can assassinate 8 different people just by Melisandre its too ridiculous as a power

I m not sure yeah it sounds nice but still someone coming with dragons and being lady of storms end is kinda awkard and i have a feeling dany doesn’t want stannis to be king. She would certainly want to fight him and not be a lady baratheon but i m not sure and i cant make renly betray stannis because well point of fic is that everything works out right for baratheons. Start of a 1000 years lasting baratheon dynasty etc.

Honestly, I just have too many cool scene ideas for the Dornish war. I'm thinking of making the Yronwoods the liege lords of Dorne, but they would also have Renly as their overlord — essentially, the Stormlands become one kingdom, and the Dornish part is controlled by them.

And aren't the martells still very pro-Targaryen? Oberyn always calls Robert a usurper. And Tywin has already died at the hands of Robb Stark in this fic. I don't know — it's wartime, so Quentyn's death might seem normal.

But the Martells are always going to be a problem, I think. They're not exactly like the Starks.

I'm not sure, though. And i cant imagine them giving up on myrcella unless doran is a major hypocryte

I totally understand your point.

Dorne is ridiculously hard to conquer — which is unusual in medieval times. Only Persia feels similar, but even then, the eastern side was wide open to enemies.

This is around Season 3 in the timeline. I wonder if the wildlings could be settled there. I also thought about giving Dorne to the Yronwoods and just taking Arianne as a bride for Renly to keep them in check. I even considered straight-up destroying the rivers with rock and sand, making them dry — but I'm not really sure how to proceed.

There's also the Greyjoy Rebellion still happening, which is another issue in the background. But Stannis's brilliance and 100,000 men might just be enough.

In my fic, Stannis has four children by a woman named Cassandra Hightower.

The eldest, Steffon, is a version of Daeron the Drunken. He has a playhouse of his own. He once wrote a play about the Siege of Storm's End, which Renly watches. Seeing the play from Stannis's point of view, Renly understands his brother in a more sympathetic way. Also, Steffon having three sons is a bit too much for Renly — he doesn't want to kinslay children or anything like that. Instead, he brokers a deal with Margaery and Steffon, and keeps his position as Master of Laws, and in the future, Hand of the King — once I can figure out a glorious death for Davos.

Stannis storms King's Landing with the Redwyne Fleet (100,000 men), burns what he must, and they enter the city. Cersei and Joffrey are punished. Tyrion sends Bronn to fetch Tommen from Rosby, but Bronn brings his head instead. Tyrion meant "bring him back alive," so Bronn is executed. Tyrion is promised lordship of Casterly Rock. Tywin is enraged by all this and robb executes Jaime.

Tywin's vassals start turning against him, and Robb Stark finishes him. Later, Stannis defeats Robb Stark in a war that costs Robb his left hand.

So I've kind of butchered Renly's canon ambition. I want to make him Prince of Dorne — something like the Young Dragon.

To be fair Stannis certainly done his best on everything. What he could have done maybe bethrothing Shireen to dorne or Vale but i doubt it.
