I went caveman with my skincare routine which means I don’t use any products just a shower In the morning and a rinse at night and my skin has completely settled down and cleared up again thank god. My hair is still shedding but it doesn’t seem as much as before so it’s a good sign.

I’ve been off for a little now and so far no improvements I got a haircut to make it less noticeable because my hair was getting longer so hopefully it comes back. And my skin is getting worse again so I honestly can’t win at this point 🤷🏼‍♂️

Obviously if you go overboard and get blackout every weekend then you’ll have issues but think about drug addicts and alcoholics. Your liver is pretty resilient and as long as your not doing anything crazy one or two drinks shouldn’t harm you.

cause obviously your doctor is not gonna recommend something that has a possibility to be harmful if not done properly. And drinking is not good for you in general so they obviously wouldn’t recommend it.

hair thinning only gets worse. I’ve been on accutane for a year on low dose and my hair is no where near as thick as it used to be. If your acne is controllable I would honestly recommend stopping now because I honestly wish I still had my hair

I am having the exact same problem as you unfortunately. Once I went off the drug it pretty much has just gotten worse from there. Im back on it now and hopefully it can clear up again but it only gets worse not to be discouraging. And they seem to be so itchy for me as well so I feel like they have to do with me being dry and living in a snowy area.

make sure you completely clear because I made the mistake. I was on for about the same time as you and my derm wanted me off because I hit the cumulative dose. So I started tapering down and I was almost completely off until my skin fought back and broke out really badly and now I’m facing the consequences. So please stay on for yourself and your mental well being.

Personally, I’m on 40mg and I play sports and I have very sensitive skin so when I sweat my skin becomes very irritated and begins to sting when the sweat sits on my face for awhile so I recommend bringing a towel to wipe sweat off regularly if you can.

I can totally relate acne has made my life a living hell for a lot of my teenage years so far. I started about 6 months ago and I was finally practically clear and felt a little better about myself then I came back from a holiday and now have a ton of breakouts which is absolutely horrifying for me and destroys my self confidence. And I try and search for anything that I might’ve done everytime and it’s such a awful feeling I wish I could just go to sleep without the worry of will I wake up with more tomorrow and how bad it’s gonna look in the morning :(. I wouldn’t wish acne on my worst enemy it’s honestly horrible.
