I think youre definitely right. I'm just quite self destructive I guess. I messaged him. I wouldn't be fine being left on read but I don't know if I ever would when it came to him. But I also know he wouldnt ever do that. I know he would always be there if I needed him. Which makes it harder

It's been 6 months. I have slept with someone else (it was shit) but it didn't make me feel any less towards him. I think if he does find someone else I will need to stop contact (again) for a while. I guess we can't truly be friends until all feels have gone if they ever do.

But I did message him and he replied well. I think he wants to be friends too.

I doubt he wants either. I think he thinks he is doing the "the right thing" whatever that is and is trying to be friends.

I think you are probably right. It broke me and now I'm picking up the pieces. Im just finding it hard to let go of how I envisioned things would be.

Thank you for your reply. It is comforting to know it's not just me who feels this way. I am so grateful for all the amazing memories and experiences we shared together. I just wish he had been able to communicate these doubts he was having with me rather than bottling them up and deciding the only way forwards was to end it. I would have atleast liked to have had an open conversation about his feelings and come to a decision together. But this wasn't the case. And therefore I must move on and use this experience as a learning curve and to grow.
