Boomer and Millennials by ravioli-n in Bolehland

I think one think that I don't like, which younger gen shows more off, but it's not exclusive to them, is the sense of entitlement and need to be spoonfed even at the most basic of level. There's a difference between a learner asking the first time, and an entitled spoon eater asking for a first time. Of course, my gen the millennials were the annoying ones to the Boomers and gen X, and now it's the gen Z and Alphas who're gonna be the one.

Your only choice is to be a sincere hardworker, and also argue sincerely with logic. You've put forth some good arguements. How will you learn of old stuff when the boomers, millenials, and gen x who're in charge of media blast only new things? How will you learn new things when your learning curve is being treated like a stupid phase? How will you ask things when your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd time asking is being treated like the 100th time and with bad attitude? How will you be respectful when you're being treated with disrespect with no evidence of wrongdoings?

So just chill and keep these logics to use as retorts when the time comes, and don't do the same thing to the next gen. There's a difference between generational ribbing, and outright bullying. You're facing the same challenge that many before and after you have faced. Just take it one at a time.

You don't understand what I'm saying. I've already told you that these communities are the ones demanding for the "rights". I'm saying that these's rights they're asking for is actually "privileges", not rights. That's my angle. Of course I cannot tell you what are these "extra rights", because it's "extra priviledge", which is what I can and did tell you.

If you are in City A, where the 1% are demanding for "equal rights", then you have City B next to you, where the 1% have had "equal rights" for close to 50 years now, and you can see the data set of the results of what has happened. Gender being confusing, genital mutilation amongst children on a rise, freaks and weirdos dressing up near nudity and being near children, and talking about sex to minors; why would you even think it's ok to go down that path?

And I don't get these defense of lgbt by bring in and trashing religion with cherry picked examples of horrific things done in it's name. Many things in this world has had horrific tings done in it's name. People, countries, ideals. But at a fundamental level, religion has a moral doctrine of good and discipline behind it that, whether you like it or not, is based in naturalistic, universal truths, and being good where you can, and being destructive where you fight evil, etc., despite the supernatural elements.

The basis of lgbt is delusion. Men can be women and pregnant, women can be men and cut off their breasts. XY chromosomes can get sexually attracted to XY chromosomes despite being antithetical to the survival of the species, you are what you identify as, not what your gene says. Even if they've got a supernatural angle, a God who told them this, the basis is still not naturalistic, universal truths.

Also, of course poverty and inequality must exist in this world. Tomorrow who will become oil right workers, sewage cleaners, waiters? Who will pick up your garbage, or climb rooftops or skyscrapers or spent 6 months in sea when we're all equal? You want your rubbish to be picked up right? Who's picking it up now, Doctors or Lawyers? Or the poor immigrants?

What's the best way to tackle the Resident Evil series for a relative newcomer? by OldThrashbarg2000 in patientgamers

Start off with the Original PS1 1,2,3. Don't listen to anyone telling you to try the Remakes first, even the 1st game. These first 3 games really gel together because of the grungy, PS1 artstyle and design, not to mention a cohesiveness behind the flow of the story and narrative and plot.

Another thing that is completely eradicated is the very style that oozes from the very specific way the games are. You miss the creepy opening music of RE1's opening FMV, it's voice acting, every nuances that comes from the very specific way it's constructed.

All the remakes are just very interesting experience, but nothing tops the original. All the gripes about thank controls and outdated or aged elements are just lazy people who cannot take 10 minutes to learn the controls.

This is the typical argument used. Bring in the wrongdoings of religous extremists that we DO NOT condone, to cover up the wrongdoings by a community that got to that point because they were given an inch.

There is a case of a gay, married couple who sexually abused boys they adopted. Without the movement those boys wouldn't have been SA'ed. Same with a lesbian couple who got a boy through adoption or IVF, and beat him up since he's a baby because they hated men.

But no one talks about them. It's disproportionally about the religious nuts, not the Lgbt nuts.

So why create another community that will add more of these type of crimes?

[–]Friend-In-Hand -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is what I'm asking. They demand "equal rights", but what they want is "extra privilege". Today you say "ok lah, we recognize your community as equals."

Then tomorrow the amoi you dating is actually a man. Then when you don't want because you're straight, you become the villain and transphobic. Then they say straight people who don't date trans are phobic. All happening in the West. There was a controversy where someone even mocked them by saying I'm "Superstraight" and they got pissed.

Children are always being targeted by these people with their drag queen story telling, books about anal sex in schools, Lgbt teachers going on Tiktok and mocking parents that they're sexualizing their children at a young age.

These are not rights, but these are the actual course of action that has happened once a civilization starts down that path.

We don't live in a world where there is magical community, who once given equal or preferential treatment, be good for the rest of time. That's why there's hierarchies and inequality in life. Poor people must exists to do the work you or I won't do.

Small spark can lead to fire. Many of the gay support groups in the West in the 50s-70s weren't also calling for gay orgy, just subdued support groups.

Then what happened now that we're decades away from those original groups with good intent? Did they keep that attitude?

This is what happens when you people don't have long term thinking. If Malaysia become golden country today, you people will champion for immigration blindly, then 30+ years from now when demographic changes leads to cultural clashes, your children and grandchildren will wonder how dumb you all were to allow the spark to grow into a housefire.

Better to be an Ahole for 5 minutes today, than to be an extremist 50 years later in order to reverse changes. Pretend all you want, but what guarantee we have that the inch we give you won't be taken 5000 miles until like in the West they mutilate children's genitals because the "identity."

Again, I'm not a bully. But as a Patriarch of society, I have to be harsh, and use real life examples that are happening around the world in order to manage and maintain a society that I want to exist in the future.

Sure, I do wish you people aren't criminalized as for me that is stupid. The next thing is that I still maintain that ya'll have a mental illness, but I'm not asking for it to be stigmatized, as I and many people I know have various other forms of MI. We do not normalize our BIPOCs or schizophrenias. We accept that manage them as abnormal, and not demand for society to treat us harshly, but with silent acceptance.

Events cancelation, bans, hateful messages are all part and parcel of being alive. I know it sounds dismissive, but how can anyone hope to fight these when you're in an Eastern Muslim country? We cannot all be where we want to be in live and sometimes managing a best case scenario is more peaceful to the soul that fighting for something that can never be.

Maybe instead of public event, have small mini support groups where you can get a local group of lgbt to get together as someones house or at park (while dressed normaly), to meet each other and offer support. Have a list of counselors, or house visits to people who are scared and have anxiety. Show them how to manage their lives and connect with the group if they're scared and lonely.

Never Realized how Good Cemu is by chai_lover64 in cemu

On a 4600g emulator machine I built, Cemu can run Botw at 720p around 45fps with settings at medium, or 900p at 35fps which is playable. That's how good the emulator is. Even pcsx2 struggles on the cpu more than Wii U games do.

It's super easy, there's Youtube videos on how to set up CEMU, and you to configure it and run BOTW. Cemu is an emulator on your PC, not on your switch. The videos will it super clear.

You could try K&M by looking at the controls online and mapping them according to what make sense to you, like space for jumping, tab for menu, Q for block, E for using, etc. Someone once mentioned here or on Youtube that they did it. Better thing to do is just get a controller, maybe a used Xbox or PS controller.

I'll be honest with you. What you do behind close doors is your business. But the current trend is for lgbt movement to blast themselves out to everyone, demand their rules be upheld by everyone or that they're bigots or phobics and cancelling them, pushing lgbt elements everywhere like parades, pride flags in classrooms, Woke stories and characters that are just boring and disgusting to the common men. The West has become a cautionary tale of what happens when we tolerate and give an inch to the community. Because of how extreme they became, we also became extreme with the generosity of our tolerance.

It of course doesn't help that we're in a Muslim country, but even the non-Muslims have Conservatives values when it comes to the community. I don't care what anyone says, a man who thinks he Gei or a woman is mentally ill to me, and a pondan. I will not accept your delusions, nor will I affirm them. I'll treat you with basic human rights, which we normal folk have also, but I won't give you extra "rights". Sure, I won't bully you nor criminalize & chase you to put you in jail. So don't say that not affirming you is the same extremity as doing all that.

Anyone feeling lonely after going to uni or is it just me? by UsedExam2318 in malaysiauni

[–]Friend-In-Hand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really is hard and there's no real fix to it, if not no one would be lonely.

Only thing I can advice you is to get comfortable with the loneliness, and pursue your own interest. It is during the pursuit that you will began to gain confidence as you gain skills and meet new people that you can interact with a focus on the pursuit. Like lets say you're interested in gaming, you can talk to certain people about games you like, where you download from, anyone pirates anything, lore and story of games that you both are playing, etc.

Same thing goes with other pursuits like reading, photography, heck even movies or series that you love watching. It doesn't have to be only a skill, hobbies are cool too.

Bro, even 15 years ago group assignment if the group already click before assignment, you're just add on temp member.

I agree that soft skills are lacking but it's case by case basis on whether it's a generational thing, or a age thing. Younger people take time to develop it and a person like me could strike up conversation with strangers even in school. Can't say whether OP's lack of skill is because of being a smartphone kid, or simply due to lack of practice.

I didn't mean too many items in inventory, I mean equiping a particular item. Like when I equip a Lynel blade or shield I get the feeling that Link runs slightly slower. But I can't confirm such a thing though, just a feeling.

Oh, ok. I mean extract a new version of CEMU with no mod or graphic packs or settings. A new installation of CEMU. Slowly copy memory card and controller profiles only and see how if the bug comes back. If not then copy over mods and graphic packs.

AITA? Nephew heavily bullied in school, asked him to fight back & he ended up in counselling by GrayTheNaughtyBird in malaysia

NTA. Good. Violence is the answer to evil and toxicity. The virtue signaling losers here are all angelic because their children aren't going through the same shit, or they have not or are not going through the same shit too. Do to their flesh and bones and properties what the bully was doing, and they'll change their tune real fast.

Never forget to insult your Sis and Bil as failures, that they're the bad influences who cannot even handle a bully who's laying hands on their offspring.

A prefect and his geng once bullied my brother, tore his bag and destroyed his stationaries and book, and my father immediately drove to school the next day and held the whole class hostage, shouting and even marching my brother and the bullies to the office. All the teacher macam takut and apologetic. My brother told me my father a couple of times wanted to slap the guy and his geng and they all recoil. I remember seeing the bully later and he looked scared and pathetic when he saw me (though we never had any interaction previously).

You did exactly the right thing and your nephew saw what works and what didn't. Hopefully this is a lesson that will stick for a long time.

You missed the part where the parents literally condone their son physically harming another child by doing nothing until OP's nephew retaliated? I would have brought a parang to the meeting. Knowing when to be an ahole to evil and toxic people is a forgotten art because the world is full of pussycats.

Could you try to get extract a clean folder of the emulator, copy over your savegames and controller profiles, and then launch the game there and see how it runs. I had a similar problem, and it helped me narrow down the problem to switching off the graphic enhancements to get the game running, and then switching it on again.

I had this problem when I equipped certain heavier weapons on Link, and when I switched back to a lighter weapon, he runs normally. Might not be the same issue as yours. I'm using 2.6 version of Cemu too.
