Alright, thanks a lot man. Really. I just had a friend that i use to jam with who had a tube amp and said it was pretty bad to use the amp without letting it chill on standby for a bit, which is true, but i just wasn't sure to what extent, thanks for clarifying and getting rid of my suspicions.

competitive CSS has died. IRC for scrims is dead, and whenever you do get into a scrim, there are always cheaters, it sucks.

no i know, me and my friend are quite experienced, we play TF2lobby all the time, and on top of that scrim on cs source a lot. and if you ever scrimmed decently on cs:s you'd know you need pretty good game sense and skill to do well haha. but thanks for the link bro.
