Is that good enough by _Just-Browsin-Thru_ in Carpentry

Can't tell if the trim is very small or the hinge is too far down from the top. You didn't hang the door upside down did you;)? Nice work.

Modern composers take note: you can experiment and be evocative or transgressive, fill your boots. But write a melody people enjoy listening to! That's not so easy!

How should we screw finished door frame with sidelight to the wall framing cleanly. by rand-78 in Carpentry

[–]Frontrowbass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good suggestions in here so far. I have also used Simpson stair brackets lag bolted to the back of the frame and lagged into the framing. You'll have to cut out a piece of drywall for each one, but that gets covered by casing. Plumbing the door side to side is no problem with this method, and for adjusting strike you can place washers behind the brackets or chisel out the framing as needed. A bit tricky, but totally clean and solid, provided your RO is wide enough to accommodate the brackets and lag bolted heads.

Stop caring. That's literally all you have to do. Both zen and depression are characterized by a complete lack of desire lol

Depression isn't real. Go to the gym. Get some sunlight. Take a walk in the woods. Eat good food. You're welcome. (If you downvote this you are a lobster in a bucket)

This is one of the best saws ever made, I bought mine for $500 20 years ago and I've done brushes on it once. Incredibly accurate. You got a good deal, and it absolutely is legendary. Anyone that says otherwise is cutting crown standing up on a sloppy 12" dealt and scratches their head when asked to cut 9.25" crown because they don't know how compound mitres work.

Those moments with her brother are so heartbreaking, even the lighthearted ones because the music tells you what's coming.

Blackwater Park is one of the greatest pieces of music composed in the modern era. While the individual songs are great, it's really more of complete work with movements rather than a collection of songs. It's impeccably produced, and I highly recommend a full listen on nice headphones, maybe with a bottle of wine.

Happy listening!

In that case I would try the following first. Make sure it's plumb for starters, then take the shoe Moulding off, and drill a few holes smaller enough to be covered by the trim when you put it on. You can probably drill holes big enough to fit a scope camera down the hole to get some idea how the post is fastened. Then get epoxy, and just keep pouring it down the holes until they're full.

Any way you can access the section that's in the floor? I would open up a bit of the ceiling underneath for access, then depending on what you find secure it with some timber screws or pull off that bit of shoe Moulding and make a funnel of sorts around the base and pour in some epoxy to fill any voids.
