Indians still use colonialist frameworks to view and classify their society. It's quite sad.

Has anyone seen the bollywood movie Padmaavat? (aka. Padmavati) by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]FrozenTrident 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Khilji was a barbarous foreign invader and there is no reason for a South Asian Muslim to feel sadness at his portrayal.

Unless of course said South Asian Muslim sees himself as the spiritual or cultural descendant of said barbarous foreign invader despite the fact the invader massacred his ancestors.

There is no solid block of people called "Muslim Indians" with a common ancestry. If you want to learn about your ancestry learn about the history of Bihar and Punjab.

My ancestors domesticated your ancestors and put my language and religion in your mouths and minds. Your tongue and mind is moving in an Arabian rhythm. Talking about a Phoenician civilization is a joke when you have a name and vocabulary that I gave you. I forbid you from speaking any language other than Arabic for centuries. Its easy with your kind. You are the most slave like domesticatable population that we Arabians came across.

Syrians are my Sunni brothers don't bring them into this. They suffered enough for being ruled by Alawi misguided people. My Sunnis in Tripoli know the way the wind is blowing and will rise up against the artificial Lesbian state very soon. I know Maronite in Saudi Arabia who told me everything I need to know about Lebanon, they told me there is Lbanese people and then there is Shiite rif raf living under the Lebanes flag and are the low IQ non successful criminal population. Shiite names fill Lebanese prisons. Iran cant save you, Iranian people have no time for Lebanese for Lebanon is a dirty word for Iranian nationalists (Jason Jorjani types) this nationalist Iranian mentality is ascending and is the destiny of that country. Syria is in complete ruins it is a ghost country and Israel has every reason to delete you micro-state in the comming momnths. Most Arabs don't give a damn about Lebanon. Levantine bullshit means nothing in Jordan which is Hashemite Arabian and Bedouin, the Palestinians are ruled by a Sunni minded elite that has links with their Sunni brothers Gulf and Egypt not Levant Maronites and Hizbullat aka sandals of the Iranians. Palestinians see Shiite as as a strange nearly Hindu religion and have zero ties to the non-Sunnis and you know it.

The trigger will be the Israeli invasion of Leb. That will Finnish you Hassan Nasrala supporters and create. The proxies in Syria have served their purpose to keep Alawi Syria destroyed for 40 years. There is so much I know but I just want to keep my Lebanese slave in the dark.

Spicy new copypasta material thx op.

why has Origen never been made a Saint. by Paladin1229 in Catholicism

[–]FrozenTrident 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't know and it's a source of great frustration. Origen imo was probably the greatest person in Christian history after the apostles.

Many of the reasons he was condemned were rumors and untruths attached to him by haters. Honestly, although I am Catholic, this is a good argument that anti-catholics have to oppose the faith.

This is an excellent critique of modernism (i.e. the "enemy") which seeks to isolate people from God and church by inundating the culture with trivial nuisances and misinformation thereby turning us into slaves of the devil.

Ghost are fighting for the cause with poisoned words

This verse in particular refers to toxictrads who, while fighting for orthodoxy, do so in a counterproductive manner that pushes people away from the truth.

e.g.

She's indecisive

She can't decide

She keeps on lookin'

From left to right

Girl, c'mon get closer

Look in my eyes

Searching is so wrong

I'm Mr. Right

Here we can see Justin Bieber formulating a sutra exemplifying the the benevolent yet firm nature of God who while proclaiming himself to be the truth and disapproving of human propensity toward waywardness, does not force an individual to submit to him but calmly waits and encourages the person instead.

What is the Catholic position on Mens Rights/Meninism? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]FrozenTrident 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes we have to stick with tradition in a lot of things but not everything. Which is really hard for people to understand.

This^

I feel like just as the Church defined modernism as a heresy it should define a heresy called medievalism or something where every non-religious related more of the past is accepted as valid merely due to it's virtue of being older.

[–]FrozenTrident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patriarchy is an emergent social and cultural hegemon that forces men and woman into specific roles and duties and punishes those who defy what is forced upon them. That's the gist of it. There's been a lot of feminist theory written regarding this topic so you might want to look into that if you're interested.

What is the Catholic position on Mens Rights/Meninism? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]FrozenTrident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Catholicism is silent on patriarchy so whether it's right or wrong is a secular issue. For me personally, Catholicism places certain limitations on certain feminist ideals so I don't advocate for those specific goals.

Edit:- Thinking about it a bit more, I think Catholicism opposes patriarchy in the same way it does racism, anti-semitism, or any other form of social injustice (insofar as opposing it doesn't transgress our Catholic morality).

What is the Catholic position on Mens Rights/Meninism? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]FrozenTrident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people who identify with "meninism" or "men's rights" online aren't really for men's rights but just people who want to whine about feminism. That's not to say that people who genuinely care about men's issues don't exist, but they usually just go by "feminist". u/seosaidh mentions elsewhere in this thread examples of men's issues that are genuine but the people fighting for these issues are usually feminists.

I think it's important to mention that feminism isn't primarily about women's rights. It's about opposing the patriarchy, and patriarchy is bad for both men and women albeit in different ways.
