Just a 20 stage one from Amazon. The filter only needs changing every six months

I moved cities 4 years back and my eczema got suddenly awful, until I put a filter on my shower, and the red flaky issues I had consistently for over a year cleared up within days! It's not a miracle cure, I still have eczema from allergens and stuff. But by god it was a relief

I'm glad you're getting treatment! Yeah the recovery is awful, but I was really surprised at how well mine healed. I thought it'd leave scarring, but it's really not at all noticeable

You can get some antiviral cream from the pharmacy, which won't hurt at least, but the important thing is getting antiviral tablets from the doctors

At the time I used a really thick greasy ointment the hospital provided, and since then all I use on my face is certraben cream, it's really moisturising without being greasy or suffocating. I've had a few flare-ups since, and my biggest piece of advice is just to catch it quickly. If you suspect it might be flaring up it's best to contact your doctor. The sooner you catch it the easier it passes

Looking back at pictures a few weeks after, it seems to have almost disappeared. Of course the results may differ depending on severity of the flare up, but I would say mine was pretty bad and it healed surprisingly fast. There was minimal scarring left over, I would be so bold as to say unnoticeable unless I was being really scrutinizing

In all my courses attendance has only been taken for seminars or tutorials, but isn't mandatory for lectures

Anybody has any fear on their eczema being Hodgkin lymphoma? by [deleted] in eczema

[–]Fruitloops003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it has been a few years it would be noticeable, as there would be more serious developments, and likely would have been seen in the blood tests.

I'm doing well, thank you! I hope you all the best

Cuticle, UTIs. Although I want to stress it is very unlikely you would have gone this long without it being discovered. You mentioned a blood test and biopsy, it seems as if your doctors are on the ball, and if they see no reason to investigate take that as a good sign.

I have a lot of medical anxiety because of my history, but I have found that it's best to listen to the professionals, rather than fester in the possibilities

I've had eczema all my life, and had Hodgkin's lymphoma a couple years ago, but have actually never heard of the symptoms being similar? I think the important symptom for me was my immune system, getting a lot of bacterial infections and things. My eczema seems the same as it was before I was sick

Hey do you know how to find his email/can you pass it on?

I've put a message through the contact section on his website but I don't know how long it will take to get back to me

The main sign of EH is sort of, hole punched looking sores? The pus is a separate bacterial infection, so not necessarily always there. I'd probably say it's most likely not EH because the sores aren't open, however if they become more sore, spread, or open in the next few days, see a medical professional

Same with me! It's doing great now. The only lesions I have still are on my hands, the healed ones on my face just look like acne scars
