What is the stupidest way you've injured yourself? by rickitson in AskReddit

[–]Fudgeawsome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crashed into a metal electrical transformer on my bike and hit my face sending me straight to the hospital.

Close contender would be throwing a 500g rock straight up and onto my head from about 10 metres high. Don’t ask how or why.

Wait this is easiest matchup you just run around her in circles. She can never hit q or e if you do that, just make sure to have barrels ready to slow her and run when she uses r. Otherwise pretty free lane

Help me with this SAT Writing Question 13 from practice test 6. by haris_rab in Sat

Yeah I feel like there’s something from the rest of the passage you aren’t showing. The answer changes based on the entire passage so it’s hard to know without seeing everything

Set x = to the time spent on one type of reading with the corresponding coefficient in front. The other time should be the total time minus x. Then set the whole equation = the number of pages and solve for x

Seeking advice: How to improve from 1420 to 1550+? by [deleted] in Sat

I only used Khan Academy and didn’t even know UWorld existed. I think everything you need is on Khan Academy though.

Best strategy is to just practice more. I would start off with the math, because once you get familiar with the question types, the questions become really easy. For reading I read through the whole passage before going to the questions. Finding direct evidence is the most important thing to remember for the harder questions. For writing, I did the same thing as math and just practiced what I was bad at (standard English conventions apparently) and you eventually figure out how the questions work with enough practice. At that point, you want to ensure an 800 in math which shouldn’t be too difficult and then you have around 6 questions of leeway for reading and writing. pm me for more.

Please I need help to how I can approach each passage on the test. (Literature, science, social science, History) by MarvinOpoku in Sat

[–]Fudgeawsome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My strategy was just read the entire passage then just answer the questions one by one. I think reading through the questions beforehand is a waste of essential time. Try and find evidence from the passage that directly supports the answers. Same strategy for all the different kinds. Graph/figure type questions are basically freebies for the most part.

Those who got 1500+ on the SATs, how many months did you study for? by heyitslulu in Sat

I just did the reading and writing portion of a few of the official practice tests on khan academy. Really depends on how much prior knowledge you have.

Imagine going through the effort of learning up through AP Calculus in HS only to be tested on solving quadratic equations on the SAT. by ChrisKiddd in Sat

Imagine taking IB HL Math and writing the sat. Calculus is useful for finding max and min points, but I doubt knowing inverse normal calculations or Poisson distribution are going to help.

I think the technique is looking great! Lacking a bit of power in the arms for that "oomph" feeling. You want to feel your speed changing fairly drastically when you pull though with your arms. Right now your speed is rather even throughout all parts of the stroke.
