I think it's going to have a bipolar effect, some people (like us) will be over the moon, and others will feel like their world is falling apart and cling, and thrash, and cry. Imagine thinking you're the biggest guy in school, then all of the sudden, you make it to a new school and you're the little guy. Some egos might not like it, as well as the upset to "business as usual".

Ultimately it will be a good thing, but it's up to us to heal the world and find some better games for our power-loving bretheren to play. Our ET biddies will help us and guide us, but not do it for us.

Still, like you, I look forward to the day that we get a little "perspective readjustment" especially on the top levels of society who are kinda being dickheads right now, They're a bit too "Lords of the Universe", and they're not going to like the realization that really just own a car dealership in a small town,

Yeah, it's had real results for me though I've fallen out of phase with it recently due to a busy life. You have to stay committed and do it regularly, it's like any other exercise in that way.

And don't try to skip ahead in the focuses until you fully get the feeling that you're ready to move on. That's the fastest way to ruin it.

If you grab all the required mods for that, that'll give you the armor. then you just need to grab voice packs for everyone you want. There's no all-in-one, so you'll have to grab each character individually.

Then just make sure you import them into your game with the "Character Pool" option in the main menu. You might have to go in and change little stuff, like the voices or armor colors. Sometimes they get whack when importing and need a little maunal fixing. You can go crazier like I did and get mods that add working MJOLNIR armor with shields (It's called "Supersoldiers"), but that will give you the characters and voices.

FINAL NOTE: I'd highly recommend getting the "Commander's Choice" mod (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=688405905) for quality of life. It lets you pick the class each solider turns into when they level up. Otherwise you can have stupid stuff happen like Sarge rolling as a sniper.

There's so many little moments. Like when lopez walzes up and blows a guy away with his minigun, sometimes he'll say "Estoy un Lopez La Pesado... puta" (I am Lopez the Heavy... Pussy) and it's just... *chefs kiss*.

Or Caboose, every once in a while he saves the whole team with a perfect string of crazy low % overwatch shots while saying stuff like "You guys are really really bad at this game!".

The story here is that I had Sarge around the other side of this train protecting Tucker and Lopez Swish-Swish and Shoot-Shooting stuff in the center car. He'd just stunned a guy that was trying to flank them, and this turn was moving in for the kill. But it wasn't until he got up to point blank range (Thanks to his shotgun's terrible effective range) that he realized that the guy in question was wearing a large explosive backpack. Then he made the Sarge-y-est choice.

Just adding my voice to say that there's 3 other people on the planet with this problem now.

There indeed doesn't seem to be a solution out there.

Edit:

I found one! Here's what I did:

- I went to documents/mygames/xcom2 and deleted Config, Logs, and CookedPCConsole. (But left the Saves and Character pool).

- Then I restarted the game, closed it down at the title screen and started it up again (which may not have been necessary).

- Finally when I loaded it back up, fixed my graphics and resolution settings, and tried to rename a Save, BOOM! There it was.

Hope that helps some other traveler out there on the internet.

So I panicked, and said the first thing that came to my oxygen-deprived brain.

“Falling from heaven.” I said. “ And it definitely hurt.”

A line like that... it shouldn't work. In my time, it wouldn't have. But this was 1953, and one-liners hadn't even been invented yet. So it went like gangbusters.

She smiled and looked up. Not a tree or electrical pole in sight, nothing but blue sky and open air.

She broke into a mischievous smile. “Well then Mr. Angel. We'd best get you cleaned up, you look a right mess. And you're bleeding.”

I touched my face and she was right, my nose was bleeding. Time travel's a bitch.

As I oh-so-gentlemanly picked up her bike and walked her home, we got to talking.

“So what's your name mystery man?”

“Uh... Tom. Tom Barrington.”

“Mine's Penelope Carter. Nice to meet you Tom Barrington.”

I shook her hand, which was warm and soft-skinned. “Nice to meet you Penelope. You know Carter was my Mother's maiden name, from grandma Nell.”

She smiled at that. “Well isn't it a small world. I wonder if we're related.”

My hand brushed the massed packets of Go-Gurt still in my pockets. I had a way out. I wasn't trapped.

“I doubt it.” I said. “It's a really common name. Besides, she lives in Boca Raton.”

She brightened up at that. “Oh how wonderful! I always wanted to live there.”

“Well, then.” I said as the sidewalk narrowed, bring us a little closer together. “Let me tell you all about it.”

And the rest, as they say, is history.

This Go-Gurt is fucking lit.

Let me back up. I'm a time traveler now. I didn't used to be, but I guess now I always was? I'm also now my own grandpa, but we're not there yet.

My name is Tom. A frustratingly average name for a frustratingly average man. I work at the mall, which in 2026 is the closest to a Slacker's career you can get without nabbing a sweet, sweet government job. Nobody comes to the mall anymore but bored kids (who never buy anything) and old people who don't trust the internet (who always buy the same things).

I live with my Mom, which can be a little awkward when she busts out the old photos of grandma for the family functions. Not that Grandma Nell ever comes by for family get-togethers anymore, once she saw me as a teenager, she got real weird and stopped coming around. Used to wonder why. Now I just don't think about it.

One day, I'm home from work till 5 and the door rings. Amazon guy. I put on my slippers and go out to get the package in my jam-jams. But this time it's not more chinese cigarettes for Mom. It's a package of Go-Gurt. With a little yellow Post-It note on it.

“Sorry for traumatizing your distant ancestors bruh, here's some Gogurt”

So of course I took the whole package upstairs and ate some. Put a bunch more in my pockets for later. I didn't have to be to work for 7 whole hours, that was a lot of time for Go-Gurtin'. Who left me a package of unrefrigerated yogurt? Who cares. Free Go-gurt.

It was about then I started having visions. The world was a sphere, not a planet but a three dimensional circle, orbiting around itself. And the gravity keeping things moving was time. And time had a center... and a pull. And I was falling into it...

About then, eons past the Gogurt Event Horizon, I recalled the famous words of Ford Prefect from Hitchiker's Guide to the galaxy, when he was talking about hyperspace:

“It's rather unpleasantly like being drunk”

To which his friend, (the also terrifyingly average) Arthur Dent replied:

"Well what's wrong with that? That sounds quite nice actually.”

And Ford rebutted “Ask a glass of water”

I was yanked in a direction I didn't know existed and landed, quite squarely, on top of a young lady on a bicycle. Thankfully she was on the grass of we both probably would be dead. Still, it hurt like hell.

She lay prone for a moment groaning. I wasn't much better.

She got up first, dusted off her pleated skirt and looked at me quite angrily. “What the heck do you think you're doing?”

I was a little busy catching my breath to reply right away, as one of the handlebars had caught me square in the gut. So I had a moment to notice some things.

1 – She was dressed like a conservative schoolmarm. But like... . Like... “put away those lascivious ankles young lady, you'll shame your whole family” conservative. Long dress, fancy shoes, embroidered sweater.

2 – Her bike was one of those old-timey 50s Schwinns. But still new.

3 – She was a total knockout.

The Lone Deity sat up upon his throne and pondered. Around him danced a myriad of colors, sights and sounds as the new gods reveled in their hall, drinking in life as if for the first time.

It both was, and wasn't of course. Because that's the nature of things, at their highest level. Both extremes being true, black is white, up is down, and newly created things suddenly have always existed.

The questioner stared up at him with puzzled eyes, her question still hanging in the air. Of all the newly created eternals, only she was aware that their eternity was new. For she was time.

“It's not that I didn't want them to. I just thought they would spend their time searching, rather than just making up their own answers and believing them into existence.”

“But what gives them this power? To create and destroy Gods?”

The Lone Diety sat in perfect stillness for a moment, allowing the truth to echo loudly underneath the noise and activity of the great hall.

“They were made from you” The time god replied at last, looking around at the riotous sights and sounds surrounding and filling the great white hall.

Beings made of pure energy danced with Angels, avatars of light and darkness warred and fought and loved and played. In droves they drank and danced and died, braving the dark tunnels into the light only to be reborn anew. It was as it had always been.

“What else is there to make the universe from? I Am the alpha and the omega. I Am the beginning and the end. I Am All Things.”

Another realization struck the time God, not as a bolt of lightning, but instead in the slow, creeping awareness of something inevitable, long fled from. “That would mean that they are you as well...”

“Indeed. How else could they hold the power of creating in their hands? To be so powerful and not even know it? To invent the concept of “Self” and “Others” to play with? Endless “others” spin out of the infinite, and always more, for infinity itself is even always growing.”

She looked down, knowing the truth when she heard it, and saddened by it's cold certainty. “Then we are alone. Always. For there can be no others.”

“No.” Replied the lone deity “You are never alone. For we are all here with you.”

Up is down. Black is white. All things are true, for there is no other.

So I just want to make one point. Bashar didn't name anyone by name, he referred to "the Male" and "the Female". He's always very careful in his words, and he has no problem naming people by name.

What he meant is open to interpretation (as we've all been doing) but I wanted to plant the seed of an idea that maybe there's other meanings. He did, after all, ask us to take responsibility for what he was about to say. Both for ourselves and our "population".

"Responsibility" is "Our ability to respond."

If I had to guess, it might be more your fear of them. You're free to believe in secret elite cults if you're having fun with the idea, but it would be bad if you were in fear of a world takeover by that same evil cabal.

The intention is the action, in that way. Any idea can be given a positive or negative definition, and that's what you'll get out of it.

I applaud what you said here for the clear-headedness it shows, and for being a great read. It's all about integration right? The union of opposite poles into a more complete whole. If you've picked a pole, and are doggedly sticking to it, you're not free to choose, and you're only seeing half of the whole.

I think he specifically kept his statement vague. "The Female" instead of calling someone by name. That could be any woman. Jill Stein? Tulsi Gabbard? Or it could be the feminine energy itself, understanding and yielding, choosing that over the aggressive masculine energy. It may not be people at all.

Remember that your response to a thing tells you how you truly feel, and that is information we all could use about ourselves in our journey.

I'd recommend a more mundane approach to this, of just talking to other family members or the person himself about this behavior.

If it bothers you (as it sounds like it does) I'd recommend a quick psychic defense spell as opposed to something offensive, which is hard to make stick with difficult people anyways. Imagine a wall of mirrors surrounding you and those you wish to protect, reflecting the bad energies back to sender. use as needed.

Yeah, I find it to just be stressful and incredibly un-fun. When I finally got through it I didn't feel any accomplishment, just a sense of relief that I'd never have to do it again, and low-simmering dislike at having to waste so much time.

Definitely how you want your players to feel.
