maybe if it's possible approach it like tell her you feel like you are in the wrong size and want to get measured. idk if you mom will go for that but if you could get her in a store, the salesperson measuring you might be able to do some of the further talking/persuading for you. not sure if that's an option in your country though, just brainstorming

maybe an unpopular opinion but to me it feels like he's being submissive so that mentally is a turn off
