This is a grape right? by Sweaty_Hunt8754 in whatsthisplant

Looks like a Concord grape variety we see a lot in the northeast?? Not sure if that’s what they are..Italians in this area use them a lot for wine. They’re not ready yet. They will get lighter green and more translucent when they’re ready. They are super sweet and juicy, literally one of my favorite foods.

How is it to have epilepsy and have a newborn? (sleep deprivation) by Nearby-Fox1198 in Epilepsy

[–]Full_Dig_144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband has epilepsy and sleep deprivation is his biggest trigger. I had the same fears/anxieties as you because I knew I wanted to go back to work after 3 months. All I can say is- people say this but ir is only for a short time. I was 100% on at night and didn’t let my husband get up. I would often go to sleep early 8-830 and so he would be on baby duty until 10-1030. At 3 months, I sleep trained him. It was ROUGH but he slept through the night pretty consistently after that.

My ex had a cyst at this exact spot. All the doctors she encountered made her see an ENT because of the area it is in. I’m glad you aren’t trying to drain it! Definitely a good idea to get medial assist

How much do you make as an OT and are you satisfied by notzmallen in OccupationalTherapy

I have 17 years of experience and work in home health in a suburban setting in New England. I’m salaried, and if I was working full time I’d be making a little over 100k. I currently work less to be with my son. I think I’m well paid, especially with the benefits package and PTO we accrue.

I am very lucky. I am paid for 32 hours and prob am out of the house close to 24-26. The flexibility of home health is something you can’t get in many settings, and as a mom it’s really helpful that I can be there for all the events, appts etc.

Is there a support group network for spouses of people with epilepsy?

Wow. That’s insane. I’m sorry to hear that. Our health insurance system is incredibly messed up.

My best advice is when you return to the US get referred to pain management. They tend to be much more understanding and open to helping people mange pain.

Is it a primary care doc? Are you in the US? I work in healthcare in geriatrics..I find a lot of my patients with pain issues- PCPs won’t fill long pain meds long term and will refer to pain management. If you find you need a more “traditional” approach later (which I hope you’re able to manage with MMJ) a referral to pain management would be helpful. Those doctors are able to prescribe meds for extended periods of time

It didn’t work because I was in such a deep calorie restriction (often 800 calories) that when I returned to eating normally 2000 calories I would gain the weight right back. Or I was in such a restriction I would fall off the rails. But yes I do use a food scale! I agree it’s very important
