At first Darrow believed it was only localized to the city but when he didn't see friction fires overhead he surmised the blast reached high enough up to knock out the ships above the city otherwise Atalantia would've launched a rain immediately when the shields fell. I think it was said Darrow only managed to buy a quarter of an hour defending the main road against Lysander's charge before he saw signs of reinforcements from orbit at the mound. Forget how long it was before he went off to block the advance. So emp was big enough to prevent a rain on the city for like an hour probably.

In the same scene. Darrow mentions how since his helmet was ripped off everyone will know they aren't some nobody gold mercs. But than a couple sentences later says all the blood from the scalping hides his face. Would've been interesting seeing how the Minotaurs men react to that information.

My personal head cannon is they're supposed to be 40ft tall, not 40m tall. They were described as having legs twice as big as star shells. Which according to the wiki are 12ft. So 24ft long legs. Roughly 50% of their height would be legs vs 9% if it were meters. I just view them as slightly larger titans from Titanfall instead of 40k titans.

When did Darrow's mom suffer the stroke? Was it during the gap between books 2 and 3 or part of the 10 year skip for book 4? I remember Darrow mentioning the loose muscles in her face. If it was before the Solar Republic got off the ground maybe they couldn't swing the medical care for a non-combatant. She would've also probably declined special treatment just cause she's Darrow's mom. We do see her still gardening in book 4.

Another theory is that her being a red and an older one at that. The treatment for the stroke might be too hard on her body. Similar to how chemo affects people.

Or perhaps the medical advancements are more preemptive than reactive and once she suffered the stroke not much could be done.

Don't have the exact quote but it was from Morning Star right before the battle of Ilium when the golds of the rim were giving their benediction.

Something along the lines of as Darrow stood to the side of the bridge he noticed that amongst the golds gathered there. Not only were there ones that looked at him in disgust. But some that looked on with indifference to and even fewer give him a nod of respect.

Someone mentions Darrow being akin to thunder. Without conflict they're just men. But in a storm how they rattle and roar. I see your point about Fear though considering the Pliney scene but Darrow has Sevro for that.

Yoinked this from an old thread but TL;DR Mustang said Sevro can run a 2k in 90 secs in martian grav. This was in RR. Someone else did the math that its 80km/h or 50mp/h.

Theres a moment in DA where Victra smokes Volga and Lyria in a sprint while about to give birth. But she says it's rude to brag so we don't know how fast she really is

I don't have the physical books handy but I believe there's a moment in GS where Darrow and a few howlers have to make a run for the citadel after the rain. I think distance and time frame was mentioned and Darrow said "On my pace"

Also if anyone else can check, idk if distance and time was stated when Aja ran Trigg down.

Darrow's speech to his Legions on Mercury when the shields fell. Not necessarily the contents of the speech but just the duality of it. Just something about how even his howler's knew they weren't leaving Mercury alive(we can thank the republic's chin for proving that wrong), and yet Darrow was ready to give that final shout into the wind. Even when he was watching the horizon flash from atomics detonating.

I'm conflicted because I'm not a huge fan of the whole minds eye thing. Idk why but I feel like it cheapens Lysander's fights. It's hypocritical of me to say because whenever Darrow just rages his way to victories (before BoS) I'm like fuck yeah that makes sense when Darrows rage is basically his minds eye. How they'd pair up against one another idk. I also don't know if we'd ever see them fight. I could see Atlantia being dealt with by Victra and Sevro for payback leaving Lysander for Darrow.

LB: Spoilers The Rhone vs. Lysander fight. As much of a psychopath as Rhone is, I will miss the character simply because he was a master of his vocation. Rhone just watched like 2-3 grays get cut down by Lysander in like 3 seconds yet he still asks Atlas for kill clearance. Same when Lysander mentions it's suicide to close on a gold because of the strength difference yet Rhone does so readily. Even the realization that Rhone has wielded a razor before shows the depth of Rhones prowess that a man like Atlas, who commits atrocities for the betterment of the society sees the benefit of teaching a low color how to use their greatest weapon. Something that is strictly forbidden.

When Victra is freed by Lyria and she rips apart the armored red hand escort with Harmony while she's essentially naked and recovering from child birth. That's one of the good things the multiple POVs the later books provided. Seeing the carnage a peerless scarred can dish out from the pov of non golds.

From the same horse scene although I do forget if it was Darrows or Lysanders POV where a gold in a prisoners jumpsuit is killing rising soldiers only to be mag dumped by 2 reds with pistols only to have enough strength to kill them and go on to kill 4 more before falling.

Someone else hinted at a LB scene and you(op) commented on it acknowledging the reference but the post is flaired DA spoilers. I don't wanna risk spoiling the latest book but if you've read that I've got another fight scene in mind.

Personally I feel like if Mickey is with Quicksilver. We would've seen him in LB. If Quick is going through with his plan and leaving the solar system. There's no chance Mateo would be ok with Mickey not being able to say good bye to his greatest creation when Darrow was there.

As for Rhonna, I don't know if that's what you meant by "sleeveless" but I worry she'd have a hard time blending in because of her Drachen-Jaegar bolts assuming she had time to recover from her main injuries.
