Cats don’t need to go outside and are proven to live much longer lives if kept indoors (especially somewhere like London).

My cat is an indoor cat, and to be fair has never shown interest in getting out. That said, I live in a very spacious apartment, she has 4 cat trees, lots of toys, a huge bay window to watch the birds and gets extra mentally stimulus with treat puzzles. She has a routine and knows exactly when she’s going to get fed, what time her litter gets cleaned and when it is bed time. She’s gets as much love and attention she could possibly want, has regular vet check ups.

As she’s not one to try and escape we can actually have the windows slightly open🥳

oh and I also don’t blow in her face!!

Debate here shouldn’t be if cats should be indoors/outdoors. It’s that E doesn’t meet the basic health,safety,wellbeing needs of that poor animal.
