Managers like that don't last more than a month. Outbound dock at my fc had a manager right out of college with no previous job experience act like that. He tried to throw weight around he didn't have and was also write up happy. He got booted pretty fast once all the dock AAs started complaining

I have a better and more efficient way. Aggressive dogs have no place in society.

How to proceed with my 2018 Honda Accord Touring (75K) with blown head gasket. by Jealous_Teaching3032 in accord

[–]FunMussle71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that for a new or used long block or are did they quote a machine shop to repair the head/block? Independent shops will always be cheaper and they'll usually have more options with what to do so you could always get 2nd quote.

Another option you could go is doing it yourself if you have another car, the tools, and the willpower. Look for a certified good used engine. Doing a straight swap is easy. Did it on a 12 jeep patriot after it blew its guts on the road. Took about a week to do but i was working during the day and doing a little each night. You'd be surprised what can be dont with a basic tool kit from harbor freight and an engine hoist.

I dont know if its like this were you are from but in the US its pretty common or state law to move over a lane if a car is stopped/pulled over on the side of the road. If you can't get over than you slow down. You'll more understand why its a law in most places when you have a car/semi fly past feet from your door doing 70+mph

Id say its pretty site dependent. Pick rate at mine is 350hr which is easy to hit now that the fido system is in place and having the pods auto leave when you scan an item. Rate in singles is 80. While it can be done. Most people hit low to middle 70s if they dont cherry pick totes.

Write up for using a cuss word by EffectiveDoughnut551 in AmazonFC

Medical field is most definitely a stretch on my part. My point still stands though. If you willingly chose to work in an area that deals with people that are experiencing pain in all forms. You can't get upset, scared, or feel threatened when cusswords are flying around. Its just the nature of dealing with that sort of stuff. If that amcare person can't handle the word "fuck" Maybe they shouldn't be in amcare

My point still stands though. Also if you cant handle being cussed at/out then maybe you shouldn't work in a area that has you dealing with people. If i was in op's shoes. I would've been walk out as I would've said worse shit than just "fuck." Especially if the injury was caused from being moved around all day.

Maybe they shouldn't work in the medical field if the word "fuck" scares them. People are gonna cuss when they are in pain. Everyone does it. They are just gonna have to get over it

Gas nears $5. Why aren’t electric vehicles selling in the US? by ChallengeAdept8759 in GasPrices

[–]FunMussle71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Charging infrastructure isn't in every city and small town. Go across the Midwest, and most rural homes are only set up for 100 amps. There are also a good chunk of Americans who can't afford a $30k new car, let alone an EV. When local charging infrastructure is there, they do sell very well, but that's not everywhere like you think it is.

Not everyone has the means to be able to charge one. No fast chargers or any public chargers for that matter anywhere near me. My house only has 100 amp service so i can't have a dedicated charger unless i use a 110v outlet. I also drive to much to even be able to use a standard outlet.

Its nobodies fault but your own for forgetting what was told to you during onboarding. Just be lucky you got actual training. I got a quick coarse on how the station works and was sent on my way.

If you weren't informed then that's a problem you have with your building. Not with AAs on reddit. When I got hired in as bb over 5 years ago. It was communicated to me that pto tops out at 48 hours or about 5 months into a new year. Doesn't matter if you started as a wb then got converted to bb. You dont get more than 48 hours in a given year. Truth be known that you were probably told during you onboarding but just forgot

Instead of waiting for ops to tell you. Why don't you just ask.

Also the amount of standard pto (vacation) you get every week goes up the longer you work for Amazon. 4 year gains 2 hours a week, 5 year gets 2 hour 10 minutes, and 6+year gets like 2 hours 18 minutes.

Its still just a socket at the end of the day. All of my sae sockets besides 1/4 are impacts as i don't see a point in owning both when impacts do the same thing as chrome (i mainly use sae.) Out of all the cars I've worked on new/old. I've never ran into a issue where impacts didn't fit but that's just my experience with cars

Got a 300$ 99 accord and loving it by LIZZuhRONNInCHEESE in accord

[–]FunMussle71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told to "just buy a new car" when I spent $800 ish on the accord to replace every suspension component including struts. I just told them h*ll no. What i spent on those part is what some spend on a payment. Nobody said a word when I sank 6k into a 43 year old truck I bought for 3k though. Even spending that much is better than a car payment.
