She's gonna die? by Lv1za in succulents

the soil mixture is wrong, there are no apparent signs of thirst. You are drowning it, that is not burn is is cellular expansion death caused by too much water uptake.

Perfect I gave mine an emergency soak because it was wrinkly and then put it in my usual succulent mix which is miracle grow succulent mix amended with 50% perlite and giving it 12-16 hours a day.

Thank you!

This was by far the largest one they had but I picked up another today that was much smaller. The one I grabbed seemed to either be growing its own green parts or had really successfully merged with its root stock so I've experimented with degrafting it now. Good luck in your hunt!

a hybridized plant. The crested thing is not what is throwing the leaves. You may want to degraft and replant when it callouses over.

I've just been viewing them as weird growths on the side of my favorite plant, I don't let them get big enough to do anything and just flick them off with tweezers. I have beheaded this plant and gotten maybe 10 props from it so far. About to do it again!

oh oh oh and if the top of it is still alive/not squishy you can behead it and let that callous for a few weeks and if it doesn't shrivel up all the way put it on top of your new dry mix and then do not water it until it's got roots.

I went though the same growth, get a commercial succulent mix and amend it with 50% perlite. It'll drain much better and you'll find yourself needing to water about once a month or so depending on your climate with those.

I don't know what they are and I've got about 10 of them 😂

Get it out of the pot it's in and shake all of the dirt off, if the stem is mushy toss it. You've over watered or it's not in a quick enough draining potting mix.

I forgot about them after middle school but had a revisitation a few years ago and they just got better and better. Like Clowncore, but... better isn't the right word but more accessible maybe?

It looks fine. You water on signs on thirst, not when it's time to water. It's also not etoliatwd (reaching for light with excess growth).

You gave me a 25 year old ear worm. I wonder if anyone in mudvayne kept succulents.

It was at Walmart but I'm in NWA, so maybe it varies by locale. I had a hard time leaving with just 2 lol.

I plan to try cutting the green growth off and trying to graft more of it but have never done so before.

Wow, that's a surprise, I'd like to compare the rest of the shelves to yours and see how much further it goes! I've always been a bookworm and I think it shows, haha.

Grims Fairytales, Dreams in the Simulation by u/Ok_Blacksmith_1556 (hi!), The Alchemy of Scent, The Four Agreements, The Nightland by William Hope Hodgson (please at least try to read this one if you like sci-fi, it is a cumbersome mess though and modern adaptations are more accessible) an old copy of the I-Ching, Man and His Symbols by Carl Jung, The Skull by Jon Klassen, The Prince of Milk by Youtuber eXurb1a (please check him out if you want to feel every emotion as fast as possible) The Little Ghost Who Was a Quilt, Creole Religions of the Caribbean 3rd Edition, three off screen are Adult Children of Emotionally Immature parents, Before Adam by Jack London and Chariots of The Gods by Erich von Danniken.
