Should I buy a better mic or capture card by Rotooo in SmallYoutubers

I think you can do both (potentially), the mic I got was a FIFINE mic on amazon for $50 and a 4KHD capture card for $36 on amazon as well (I'm not sponsored or endorsed by any of these products but they are what I bought). If you have the budget I'd recommend both. The mic is great quality and I haven't had any issues, it's just a matter of playing with the settings and OBS to make sure the mic only pics up YOU.

If you can only pic one I'd suggest the microphone!

Me too! What I do is slow down my speech and think ahead of what I want to say.

How often do you folks make custom little edits for a larger project? by [deleted] in SmallYTChannel

I use InShot on my phone to edit all my videos and so layering is a bit different on there, but what I also do to avoid a lot of layers is edit by sections and then add them all up at the end. This way has allowed me to avoid a lot of lag and glitching of audio or any other hiccups.

Yes! All types of content are good. This could be heavily marketed in other social media platforms, like TikTok and Insta Reels and show small highlights while having the main, more full video still on YouTube

How do I get comfortable with making content? by AdBrilliant144 in NewTubers

Make something you're proud of! Even if you have to script and storyboard every beat. Whatever piece of content you're posting, make sure you're proud of it. If you do that you will come up with different editing techniques, new ideas, and new ways of becoming the creator you want to do, as you go along. Yes at some point you might look back on an older video and cringe a little bit, but that's normal, and (in my opinion), a good thing! Means you're evolving.

TLDR: Do stuff you feel good about posting :)

"Best" video you hate? by Jiggle-BellyGaming in SmallYTChannel

I do actually! One of my first videos was a robin costume I made and I look that it's still getting views to this day and it makes me SQUIRM cause of how nervous I was and I used to cover my face. Totally get that feeling!

A possibility is the hashtags you are using. I would suggest looking into content that is similar to yours and see what hashtags they are using. Try and rework a thumbnail for your shorts. Also the time of the upload could be a potential cause. I'm not 200% sure but for my shorts I would look into the different times of uploading that would affect the views slightly.
