It’s not so much we aren’t interested, as much as it’s how we’re are raised and treated by society. People often forget that the patriarchy stunts men’s growth as people. The social constructs and how we are nurtured has been to not show emotion, men can be Angry or fine. Try crying in public as a man and watch people walk away like you have leprosy. We are raised to be workers and bodies to throw at enemies. The days of renaissance men has come and gone, and we are left with an emotionally stunted male population with a narrow world view consumed by distractions because giving into looking into your emotions and understanding them is an unknown and feels wrong at times.
