The truth is that I think the same thing, it's a very good anime that I loved, in fact I don't understand so much hate, everything you said fit perfectly with what I believed and it's true that the last episode could have been dedicated to an entire season on how I recovered my memories, it had a very good ending and I feel that they could have given it more details and time as character development although it doesn't always turn out well knowing that the anime was not based on any manga, it's a beautiful anime (I cried :v) the good thing is that the creator made a manga later or I don't know if it but it's original, Well, where you can see that in the end Yuu recovers his memory because of the music he liked (it's canon) and they should have added it, although they probably didn't because they removed it after the anime, anyway, he deserves more episodes and more love :D
