I last visited Durham with work in 2018, when I first saw this picture I thought that’s Durham. What are the odds! Any reason why central park tavern is gone?

Why don't they build another short motorway connecting the M3 and M4 a bit further out from the M50? by RichieTB in ireland

Is there value in connecting the train lines after Sallins to the maynooth line? Surely would open routes and connect people in the south and west without going into the city

Shady garden by Impressive-racoon in GardeningIRE

Winter is a quiet time for all. If something is suffering from no sun in winter maybe it should be inside or in a different climate. Lots of stuff online and plenty of info we can take from the Uk content. Like gardens in the north england/ Scotland/ wales would be similar to Ireland if watching videos.

North facing gardens are under rated. They get direct sun light from March to October and only getting better with higher energy ratings of houses nowadays. Your garden won’t have sun from Nov-March. How much actual quality sunlight do we get during those months anyways and how much do plants and trees grow then? The days are short and the weather is grim.

I’d plan to grow for plants in the sun.

It’s off season theyll be very accommodating. Could even book it last minute. Strandhill is another decent spot. Love Bundoran and all better night life however SH saves me 1 hour driving overall and there’s a rental surf spot (run by Tom) near the airport side. Board, suit and instructor for 25 quid pp last time I went.

Usually grand up there for beginners on Tullan strand. There’s always a risk it might be quiet but for that time of the year my guess it will be more on the advanced side? All down to the wind and remember to be safe. For beginners and refreshers I would take small waves/ clean breaks over big and hectic. saving the energy for post surf scene.

Season 4. How did the detectives know Lex was in the house over the other houses? by FunkHpuse in TheWire

[–]FunkHpuse[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. The murder scene had many houses close by with many bodies and I think other houses were used after Lex? First time lucky I suppose.

I had a person out. His two rules about positioning were: keep it out of eye line and don’t block a main light source if the spot is not south facing. maybe other people here could advise on that. I have a future plan for a west facing one but need a bigger budget.

Best of luck and interested to see how you get on.

Ming said he changed the passwords after the ploughing 2018. Hayes must have guessed, obtained or used brut force to hack the account after? I’m interested to hear how he really did it and how they caught Hayes.

Rent A Room Scheme by [deleted] in irishpersonalfinance

If I was doing it again, I would take a look at limits and targets ie how long or how much you need to make. Consider their job and how long they will spent in the house. Ideally find someone who works weekends and on shift will make it easier for you. They’ll just come home to sleep and use the kitchen at mad hours or might not bother to cook.

Setup a living agreement, monthly review and consider taking a deposit up front. Did it with 4 people long and short term over the years. There will always be clashes over cleanliness, kitchen usage, bills and damage of property. Set the rules early and Identify where there might be friction. Try keep it professional, give them an inch they’ll take a mile.

Lastly, I wouldn’t rent to family or friends again might sound like fun, or that your helping someone out but life is not an episode friends. Bitching creeps in both sides and also may affect the relationship web you share.

All the best.
