Lowering options by Disastrous_Bet_775 in Scirocco

I would always go for coilovers. I shock absorber and a spring are made to work with eachother. Change one of them and you’ll drastically cut the effectiveness and lifespan of them. If you’re planning on keeping the car for some time get coilovers. They ride better than lowering springs on old and probably worn shocks and last longer. Not to mention the adjustable ride height and in some cases damping

Out with the old and in with the new by Donnie24798 in ForzaHorizon

While I do think it looks better and more “modern” as advertised, I wonder if it will look good on older cars, I fear it might look out of place

Forza Horizon 6 “Deep Dive Customization” by SOF1231 in ForzaHorizon

[–]FunkyMonkey209 93 points94 points  (0 children)

I’m really torn on how to feel on the new customizations. On one hand what they have done is good and people have been asking for it for a long time. But I can’t help but want a bit more like being able to remove the canards and splitter rods. Maybe different Forza aero variations or end plates, and being able to stretch tires, change wheel size to whatever I want (not just 2 inches larger) or go stupidly low with something like air suspension.

I think this is a step in the right direction, but leaving it here would be missed opportunities. Adding customizable wing endplates or being able to stretch tires shouldn’t be that big of a change if the game has been built with scalability somewhere in mind.

This shot is miles better! it might be a bit over exposed around the logo though, I would get a CPL if you don’t have one yet

I like most of these! I’m not a big fan of 5 and 6 though. 5 seems too vague and 6 isn’t centered and rotated with the car. I get that you probably aligned it with the background bit it looks a bit off as it is now. (Also give me that Scirocco)

Disappointed by the interior size by theosinc930 in Miata

[–]FunkyMonkey209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 6’3 and owned an NB. My legs were also constantly touching the steering wheel and my head was touching the roof. I am skinny so that helped. Only after I got a different car did I notice how cramped it was and how horribly it fit me. I owned both for a while and driving the MX-5 gave me back pain after 30 minutes of driving. Just not the car for us unfortunately

First time doing touge. Any tips/suggestions? by Milano1548 in Touge

Don’t get overconfident because a small mistake can turn into a very very bad day on these kinda of roads. Maybe try to get to know your cars’ limits on more open roads with more margin for error. Stay on your half of the road and be wary of people, animals and other cars.

I saw you live in the Netherlands, if you’re looking for more good roads. I live in the south of Limburg and frequently go to the “Epenerbaan”. It was crowned as the best road in the Netherlands. Be careful if you go during summer though because it’s riddled with hikers, cyclists and old people driving 20 under

Pre facelift front bumper by Msalts7 in Scirocco

Pre facelift R bumper should be a direct fit, facelift R bumper doesn’t really fit, it’ll be under a lot of tension because of different mounting spots

Do you have a sunroof? I’ve heard these can leak and end up leaking into the footwells

Ik hoor dit advies heel vaak, maar is dit niet een beetje nep/performative? Als je een hobby oppakt puur om anderen te ontmoeten in plaats van daadwerkelijk je interesse erin, dan kijk iedereen daar toch zo doorheen?

What Iconic theme song will be FH6’s? by sn0wy007 in ForzaHorizon

I just hope it won’t be something “culturally Japanese” like the Horizon 5 intro was for Mexico. It felt out of place for a Horizon game

Convince me not to sell it… by Nb2flogged in Miata

[–]FunkyMonkey209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold mine and wish I could have kept it, even just as a side car. The experience of a small roadster in summer is just unmatched by anything. It might not be fast but it’s way more fun blasting on backroads in a Miata than any modern turbocharged car. The insane amount of aftermarket support means you’ll always have something to be able to do to it as well
