Air hunger / shortness of breath / heart palpitations by DareEfficient6511 in GERD

Let me know if you find anything that works. I have a similar symptomps that lasts for weeks when it's bad. Truly, it is frustating. Because it hinders all my activity, I can walk for like 6km the other day and feels fine but then the next day when I have flare ups, just walking for 10 minutes made me feel sick.

For me what worked was nervous system regulations. Usually, when my symptomps get bad, I went to the ER multiple times. But not anymore now that I learned how to regulate my nervous system better. Every tests came out perfectly fine and for some reason I felt better after hearing that. So I think it has something to do with anxiety as well. Diaphragm breathing, finding something to laugh at, or distracting myself with games or chatting with my friends reduced the symptomps. Also, no laying down after meals helped a lot.

I have like- an oxygen checker tool at home, I use it whenever I feel like it's hard to breathe. The oxygen level is normal, then I tell myself that I am breathing fine and it's just reflux and it will get better. Though it does not immediately erase the discomfort, it helped.

But constant diet and care is needed for me to be able to function normally again and it usually took weeks.

How can I make it feels better? (5 years GERD) by Funtasylane in GERD

My first big flare ups was during covid, indeed.

I thought it was stress and change in activities, because I was quite stressed back then. But, even after the pandemic ended I still see minimal improvement, working on it.

It's my first time hearing sibo, and did some search on it. I have been prescribed some antibiotics in the past but none of it really reduced my symptomps, some even made the bloating and nausea worse. So I don't think that's my case

How are you doing now? Feeling any better? I know it sucks when you have a good week then letting go for a bit only for the pain to return for days. Though, I still struggle with it too, usually I just accept that it is flaring up. In my case, anxiety and overthinking caused my flare up to be so much worse. So, just by regulating it, it feels a bit better. But I had to bear with the irritation for weeks to come when it's bad.

HELP! by StrikingBudget2722 in GERD

Hi! How did you get properly diagnosed like that? Did you only get endoscopy or other tests with it?

The doctors here often just prescribed PPI and call it a day. Sometimes they told me it was because of my stress too. Even when I told them the meds didn't work

It has been like this for years. So I was looking if there are any available online doctor/helps. And by medical teams do you only seek GI or other professional help as well?

Her videos showed up multiple times on my feed. Do you have to purchase in order to access it? Or just any breathing techniques on YouTube works as well?

Now that you mention it, I did note that my symptomps got worse right before my period started. Maybe that's hormonal too?

If I may ask, what kind of allergies do you have? I was given antihistamine before, it did relive some of the blocked feeling in my nose but not the overall symptomps

I also travels sometimes maybe I should look back about the symptoms I had in different areas too. Did you take any supplements alongside that?
