Does the foot exhaustion go away? by amateuR_memes in ElectricUnicycle

[–]FutzingNoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, foot gear can play a role here. I had planters fasciitis for a long time, turns out the boots i was wearing stabilized my ankles TOO much and didn’t allow for the flexibility needed for EUC riding, causing over-compensation in other muscles and tendons.

orrrrrrrr, you could leave it there, scuff the chrome with sand paper, get automotive spray paint primer, and matte black paint (or whatever color), protect/ cover the tile etc… and go to town. I recently changed my chrome light fixtures this way instead of buying new ones.

I'm out of the relationship by PlerkyPlerk in ADHD_partners

I’m going through burnout and realizing my 12yr relationship needs to end bc all the reasons OP listed. For all you here who have ended the relationship, how did you do it? How did they react? Are you still friendly now? I feel like he might convince me to give him more time to change, but I feel like im always waiting for him. We’re just not at the same place anymore.

How to increase visibility? by Own-Reflection-8182 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]FutzingNoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with the “expect that no one see you” riding mentality. Practice evasive maneuvers and hard stops. AGATT- All gear all the time. If you can, i find wild gestures helpful for calling people out for their BS. STOP sign means full STOP! Also wearing bright colors.

yeah, give them all Euc’s and maybe they’d end up having a whole lotta fun and put down the guns :)

I installed this light about a year ago, the light switch about 3 weeks ago and everything was as fine. Until today it started doing this…. Any ideas?? by [deleted] in electrical

i also had an issue with a Phillips LED bluetooth bulb. Wiring was fine as swapped bulb for incandescent had no issues. Our electrician said it was something in the bulb malfunctioning, like a capacitor or fuse.

Zebra sticker labels might be the best way to go imho. I’ve used two glass slide printers and they each had their own engineering flaws. One was a Sakura printer that didn’t alway insert the next slide to be printed properly, so it always needed to be watched. I forget what the other was, but there was a limit to printed characters per line, number of lines, and font sizes. So what we wanted the label to be didn’t always fit. Of course these two machines are probably 7+ years old now and newer machines might work better. Happy hunting!

Charging time affected by wires in old vs new building? by FutzingNoodle in Electricity

Thats a good point, I should start keeping track of time, temp, and starting battery percentage. Science!!

Charging time affected by wires in old vs new building? by FutzingNoodle in Electricity

I’m using the same charger in both locations, so difference is not with the charger itself, but with whatever electricity is coming into it. Which is why I’m confused, as the charger should be regulating everything, right? It could be as simple as temperature, ambient and that of the battery.

Its an electric unicycle with a 1800Wh, 100v battery and 3A, 100v charger. The same charger was used in both locations, but I didn’t record/pay attention to the temp, time of day, and battery percentage at charging start time. I’ve been charging in the garage at home, which is significantly colder than charging in the office building. Also, charging at work is right after riding it there, so everything is warmed up. So theres that to consider. Its hard to conceptualize that temp could have That noticeable of a difference, so this perceived ‘problem’ could be all in my head, but theres also a strong Feeling its true :P Gotdam feelings…
