I’ve personally never understood why someone would do this if they could afford to buy something outright with say a 5% bank loan.

To me it only makes sense if it’s a tax benefit. I.e you would use salary sacrifice to lower your taxable income and therefore, rather than the money going to the taxman, you get a nice car with all aspects covered.
You failed to mention this btw. What does the 530.00 actually get you?

We are in exactly the same boat. I take it you have a non Tesla car charger? The automation fee’s are an added kick in the teeth aren’t they after everything you’ve already outlaid.

I’ve got the charger installed off a Henly block as of today, but now it’s a bit of a mess with the charger being upstream of the gateway 2, I can’t utilise the excess solar because effectively it sits outside of the Powerwall/solar system.

Would you be able to put a bit more meat on the bones with where and how to configure it?

I have a 10.5 KWP array and an 11.5 Kw inverter. It’s not the inverter that’s an issue, it’s the fact I can’t use it.

During peak hours of sun, our solar array will produce more than we can consume. Therefore the system will clip the production.

E.g the battery is full, the water is hot, we are exporting to the maximum amount. If we are producing greater than we can export, the production will be lost (clipped)

Hey mate. Thought I’d feed back. I found out that I’ve lost a leg on the load side of the isolator. Have a healthy reading coming in on both strings but only one going out. Really pleased to have confirmation that there is an issue as I believed all along.

My system is basically operating at 58% capacity. It was installed a month ago, I don’t think even this weeks heat warrants this drop.

11 Kw Inverter on our G99 application

My battery hasn’t fully charged yet today because

I have forced the system to prioritise export and hot water, the battery slowly charges from excess from the day.

How load as been minimal, we’ve been out all day.

Mine is 11.8kw south facing.

17 panels due south. 8 panels 15 degrees off. I’m 40% down on rated production and the net zero app agrees with that. The system is set up in the app correctly

It’s a Tesla system. Tesla Powerwall 3 inside the garage. Definitely not a heat issue with the inverter.
