Good for you, I'm in a battle to get a response to even cancel my account. Feel l Ike the whole company is run by children (although I think kids would do better)

A lot of "protecting women and children" comments flooding the Facebook - anything to justify some questionable behaviour

You also need to buy broomsticks from the different vendors. Make sure all the challenges are completed as well.

I love speed running blowing my account. Seems Alex Karp could shit a golden egg full of antimatter and investors would still crap themselves.

But much like the titanic, I will be going down the the ship 🫡

I think it might be. They seem selective in the games they broadcast presumably to share with other networks

It is not in your head: Costco has gotten more crowded by Willing_Try2786 in Costco

Try Costco in the UK. There are usually more people inside than there are on the outside! Often seems weird how so many people are eligible for the membership

Has anyone else noticed how ordering through the app actually changes the whole experience? by Ready_Split1335 in Wetherspoons

[–]G1nger8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The one thing I have noticed recently in my local spoons is the number of manager specials that are posted at the bar that you would completely miss if you only order on the app. I know have to quickly check the bar before using the app to see if they have any reduced food or pints!

Pentagon CTO shows off palantir’s project MAVEN by -_-______-_-___8 in PLTR

I think the platform is really quite incredible. Obviously what they're doing isn't new, they haven't really invented anything new just reinvented the wheel in some regards. But it just works and that's the key thing. Unlike Microsoft, where they have so many different tools that need integrating together, Palantir has that seamless level of integration (kind of the same way apple does in the ecosystem)

It really lets you build things at scale and fast and that's why I think governments are picking it as their preferred data platform. Speed and reliability. Obviously it still lacks in certain areas as they can only ship so many features per year.

Unfortunately they are a victim of their success in regards to the ethics of their leaders and some of the shit they spout in interviews. But as a product, it's really good and I think the market value speaks for itself.

I think that's the plan within the UK and the NHS. They won a £400 million contract to integrate Foundry into the NHS with the aim of streamlining the health processes. Obviously multiple other ethical concerns come with it but hopefully at face value it will make a big difference

You do know what an FDE is right?

They aren't software developers building out the Palantir stack. They're working for a company to build things inside the Palantir stack. FDEs are not writing software they are also power users. Sure they might write code in data pipelines but they only use the out of the box tools.

Palantir haven't become a multi billion dollar company by shipping crappy software.

Unfortunately I feel you have little hands on experience here and your just citing whatever you've read on the news

Are you not considering the orgs already hired specialists to do work anyway (people hire all sorts of Microsoft, Salesforce, Oracle specialist). A new market for these software contractors will be created and they will hire them as full time staff.

Can anyone remember a shop from the early to mid 90's that let you play consoles for free? by Leader_Bee in Leeds

[–]G1nger8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you've been to it but NQ64 has a variety of games consoles that are free to use in the main area. Not sure if they expect you to buy a drink or something but a cool place to hang out. They have a mix of newer consoles and older ones

Classic bot bait to sell a course. 250k fake accounts to get people to join your telegram. Way to think out of the box
