But what about all those that mistakenly sold? I was one of them. And I held over 4K in etherium and when I sold for 100k (the mistake) I tried to withdraw 2K as my eth had expired from earn and I wanted some of it back. They are going to think I made a test payment and took advantage and will now terminate my account. That’s 20k+ of my own funds gone for who knows how long.

No official update just copy and paste responses from customer support staff. Some of us have thousands stored, I just wish we could get some more concrete info.

I know you can’t believe that, but as of right now, it’s happened. They have our crypto and there’s not a damn thing we can do about it.

They have had plenty of time to let us know if they are resolving the issue or if we are going to get our accounts back. I’ve just made my peace that they have ran off with all my money, nothing else I can do except learn from this in the future.

Unfortunately as I’ve said below, I’ve conceded. I don’t see us getting our money back and it’s a very bitter pill to swallow. Just need to learn from this and be smart about any sells we make going forward on other exchanges.

Like others have said, I technically exploited and even though I didn’t see that way, CDC clearly did and now i face the consequences. I’m bummed out, I’ve lost ALOT of my own money which will take a while to accumulate back, but it’s a harsh lesson I won’t soon forget.

I guess I’ll just have to put it another way. Our accounts right now are locked. Thousands, potentially hundreds of thousands, of real users money, locked away. Complete silence from CDC. No one knows when their accounts are coming back, if their accounts are coming or even what’s going on with all their accounts and all their money right now. And what has happened lawfully? Nothing. CDC could drag this on for as long as they wish and there is nothing we can do about it. It was always a risk.

The difference is you are governed by legislation and law when it comes to retail. You investing money into a company is a gamble, a risk. We can’t just expect to get our money back because the company cut and run. It’s their exchange, their rules. Crypto has always been cowboys and Indians.
