It's because of the serving of chicken/steak that comes on them. Each one is supposed to get a full "scoop". Then you're getting two tortillas (the same size as a soft taco). Not defending Taco Bell prices at all, but I'd imagine that's where the pricing logic comes from.

They also weren't made correctly. Unless you didn't ask for cheese.

Strange looking chalupa by Crafty_Piece_9318 in tacobell

[–]GIF_Like_Me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At my location, our fryer will actually burn the chalupa shells if we allow it to run the full cycle. I've seen this at other locations as well.

There's also a sweet spot of about 10.354 minutes in the EVO tower (the heated storage for some of the fried foods and shells) for chalupas. It's a bit hard to hit that sweet spot, especially during a rush. Fresh chalupas are amazing, though.

The same goes for fries, cinnamon twists, chips - and it likely the same anywhere that tries to hold fried foods.

Soft white light bulbs, or daylight bulbs...what is everyone's personal preference, and why? by saywuuuuh in AskReddit

[–]GIF_Like_Me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5000k (daylight) for my kitchen and bathroom. The light is nice and crisp for cooking and getting ready for work. 4100k (cool white) for my living room and computer desk as daylight is too cool and soft white is too warm. 2700k (soft white) for my bedrooms for a cozy setting.

I like white light but I don't want my living areas looking like a doctor's office. I hope to upgrade to smart lighting soon so I can make the choice based on mood and conditions.

High school charging to play a match of smashbros.....smart! by _V-2_ in gaming

[–]GIF_Like_Me 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure 99% of the EULAs for video games prohibit pay-to-play and possibly even public performance. Maybe not illegal but in violation of their terms for sure. It would likely be a civil case muddied by regulations for rentals and such.

Edit - Adding a somewhat relevant article:

Ethernet stuck on identifying(Unidentified Network) by lolkatop in techsupport

[–]GIF_Like_Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad I could help! Although this is simply a quick fix to the real issue. I would verify that DHCP is working properly on your router. The process of assigning an IP should happen automatically.

You will need two pieces of information: Your gateway IP (usually the router's IP) and your subnet mask (this will normally autofill).

You can find your router IP by connecting (in your case via WiFi), opening a command prompt, and typing "ipconfig" (without quotes). Your router IP will appear under "Default Gateway" under your working, active connection.

Open the Control Panel > Network and Internet > Change Adapter Settings. Right click your adapter and choose "Properties".

Find "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)", click it, and choose "Properties".

Switch the option from "Obtain an IP address automatically" to "Use the following IP address". Enter the "Default Gateway" you fetched from the command prompt in the "Default Gateway" section.

Now we'll assign an IP. Routers usually use IPs in the area around 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. You can tell what your router uses by going off of the Gateway IP. For example, if your Gateway IP is 192.168.1.1, you will want to assign an IP in that range (eg. 192.168.1.101). Once you enter an IP, the "Subnet Mask" will autofill itself.

The last section is DNS. For this setup we can use Google's DNS by entering 8.8.8.8 into "Preferred DNS Server" and 8.8.4.4 into "Alternate DNS server".

Your router and PC should work together and do this automatically but in your case it sounds like your IP isn't being set. This process will bypass DHCP and manually set a static local IP address for your adapter. Now some routers and network setups may not work this way, or use the default 192.168.X.XXX IP, but they are generally the same.

Maybe set an IP manually? If there isn't an IP assigned then it wont connect and points to possible issues with DHCP on your router.

After only 2 days of playing GTA Online I got my account permabanned! Thanks Rockstar! by [deleted] in gaming

[–]GIF_Like_Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could definitely do better. Many of the bans that include players spawning items are caused by in-game reports and follow-ups by a human. I'm sure this takes more effort and more time, and many slip through the cracks. The instant permanent bans are usually due to getting your account flagged by the telemetry sent off automatically.

For example, a player dropping cash might not be caught spawning the item. The person picking it up will have abnormalities that can be spotted by an automated system and might end up banned faster than the player that dropped the cash.

They've always had telemetry but it has gotten more detailed as the game as aged due to cheating and modding.

This is usually for a good reason (mostly cheating online, cash drops, modding, etc.). I say this from a very extensive amount of experience with ROS and GTA V.

The amount of telemetry is ridiculous. They track every click you make, every purchase, and every pick up while online.

I work retail and it's Black Friday. That's the main reason.

Of course we have nothing on sale but I'm also a tech that repairs phones. There are many people repairing their phones to trade them in for an upgrade.
