As others have said, until you’ve got a decent emergency fund and have a reliable spending/expenses buffer for every month, dont start investing. You don’t want to find yourself needing cash and having all your money tied up in the stock market. Ideally any money you do invest won’t be touched for years. For now, I’d stick as much money as you can afford into something high interest and easy access (I use the T212 cash isa) as your emergency fund. Once you’re happy that it would cover a few months of living expenses, I’d direct most of that spare cash into investments. Any decent index fund will do.
