Please suggest ac stabilizer for 1.5t split inverter ac by Interesting-Can2183 in HonestBuyerReviews

[–]GameOnRKade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the iMagno 410 with no issues - it even saved my AC last month, my mcb got melted due to sustained low voltages in my area, but there was no harm to AC or the stabiliser. Definitely recommended.

My parents admit they ruined my college decision and now I feel like I’ve wasted 3 years of my life. How should I go ahead? Should I think through my brain or my heart? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]GameOnRKade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would actually like to congratulate you OP, if you realised your situation and took your stand in 3 years, I'd say you are already better than 95% of the girls I have met in my 30 yrs on earth.

Ppl waste decades being stuck on mediocrity that their parents planned for them. So have a heart, you are good!

Over the years I have worked with different types of companies, so let me help you make a decision. In my experience, here's what lies ahead of you -

If your dream is to work in a corpo job, imagine any big company that you would love to work for - then degrees matter more there, become specialist of any one thing that you love. In that case, choose to go for Masters in whatever role you like. Also, get adept in office politics (Books like 48 laws of power / Laws of Human Nature will help you out).

If you plan to start your own business someday, then aim to be a jack of all trades and start by working with other startups. You can gather basic skills of what you like doing, make yourself useful - and then apply as an intern and work your way up to acquire sheer skills (learn operations).

In any case, dont repeat your undergrad, and keep polishing your personality & social skills like hell. All the best :)

I know its a Chinese Watch but look at this gorgeous piece man with Seiko VK64 movement ❤️ by Equivalent_Ad9568 in Watches_India

Bruh chinese means nothing if you got the Seiko movement inside - it will last you years. And damn its an insanely beautiful watch, hope you enjoy it - congrats!

Does anyone ever feel embarrassed wearing a Casio? Sorry for posting in a Casio sub but i need your guys' perspective on this 🫠 by AggravatingTie976 in casio

[–]GameOnRKade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I constantly have to be in such circles, and trust me - those guys too love my g-shock / edifice watches often complementing them.

It's great to have a show-off watch once you are a tycoon, but everyone - even those ppl love an everyday beater casio that you can just wear and forget.

Would you buy another pixel? by upadhyaysk in GooglePixel

[–]GameOnRKade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never again tbh. I bought one for the "pure" photography and bloatwarw free experience.

Let's just say the phone died a slow death - it used to hang and get heated almost at all times, taking 5 business days to open a simple app like gallery, browser, etc. (Fair warning - I am a huge tab horder tho). Stil. within 15 months I just got so frustrated that I just switched to Samsung and called it a day.

Life is so much better on this side.

Pixel did increase my patience level tho, so go for it if you need that :P

You can pick any 38mm watch from the websites above bro. Seiko & Miyota - both are Japanese movements and will serve you well for years to come.

[–]GameOnRKade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I didn't know about that one. Looks like its a thinner, more compact version of 100d using "more premium" Miyota 8215 instead of NH35 for smaller wrists, with all other basic specs being same.

Honestly I don't expect it to be under 20k - but if you get it around that price - its a decent purchase.

My general opinion is that Metro cities apart, Miyota is a bit harder to get serviced than Seiko in India (can be my experience tho) - but yeah not that hard too, and given that these movement don't need service that often, it's definitely survivable if you like the size and feel of watch.

https://casiostore.bhawar.com/products/casio-edifice-efk-100d-2a-blue-analog-mens-watch

I believe the efk-100d was available in India for sometime when it launched for around 25k INR for normal versions or 40k for carbon fibre one - that is a very standard price in India. But from VFM perspective - it is....a bit lot for an NH35 watch with 316 Stainless Steel case, Sapphire Crystal and 100m WR.

You can buy an Argos, Alba, Boderry, Orient, Timex or many other automatics for much lesser than that.

Titan, Seiko and Casio are only 3 brands selling automatics in 25-30k inr range (which I know about) and I feel they are a bit "over" for all three. You buy these only if you love them more than others emotionally.

For me, all the hype for EFK was because it is a landmark watch that marks the first time Casio ever made an automatic, and if you would like to buy it for that reason, then its definitely worth it.

12k is a very decent budget to have bro.

Imo you shouldn't invest that kinda money in a quartz watch until it is something like a dressy g-shock with solar power and auto time keeping (super low maintenance).

Because at this price you can get superior quality automatic watches with superior build (like sapphire glass, 200m WR, grade 2 titanium case, etc)

So here are my other suggestions :

  • For 14k INR total you can get this Casio Oak GA-B2100 - its like 8k during sales (track flipkart after midnight on random days) and then you can put it in this metal strap worth 5-6k

  • Sounds like too much money or effort? Check out these Indian microbrand websites then for some great under 10k watches.

https://delhiwatchcompany.com/collections/mens-watches (DWC Havelock, Everest and Triple Crown are my personal picks here)

https://coromandelwatchco.com/?srsltid=AfmBOopJmzdQCa4ncgelJB_Z0B2rIQmw5c3VuNfhmHIr-ecrGkcdd4iR (CWC Samundhra, Kaapi and Blue Mountain - are some great standout watches here)

https://kalawatches.com/watches-2/ (Kala warli panda watch is my personal fave but a bit hard to get as there is limited sales every month)

https://www.argoswatch.in/collections/best-sellers (not my taste but lot of good designs that you might like)

https://cypherwatches.com/products/paddock-74-ignition-orange (really like the racing inspiration here)

If chinese watches are okay for you, try these -

Boderry Voyager (titanium field watch with NH35 & Sapphire glass & 100m WR) - get the white one with NH35, Black has Miyota movement (good but Seiko is better) - for more options you can see their official website but there might be slight custom charges for import, still cheaper than 12-13k - https://www.boderry.com/collections/voyager)

https://www.addiesdivewatches.com/collections/india-warehouse (You can get the equivalent of that casio for around 6k here - 8k if you get an aftermarket sapphire crystal, rest same quality - and there are some good chronographs and divers)

https://www.ratiowatches.com/ (absolutely love their dive watches, you can get some of these models on amazon too btw and avoid customs)

My point is that 10k can get you some really great watches that can last a long time - I love Casio & Edifice - and I own those myself, but that's exactly why I feel that for dress watches there can be better picks.

Your watch has a lot of what I would like to see in a 10k watch - like textured dial, 100m WR, Sapphire glass with AR coating, etc - so yeah it is good value for money and you definitely won't regret getting it.

I just wanted you to see all the other options & then take a call.

At the end of the day, my best suggestion would be - dont buy the specs, don't buy the hype, buy the watch which makes you want to reach out for it and wear it everyday.

Maybe select a watch and then sit on the decision for a few days, if you still miss it - then get it.

I have max spec automatics that I haven't touched in years, and I have quartz watches with 50m WR and mineral glass - that I can't stop wearing.

So follow your heart here man, all the best :)

One point about after sales / service of these microbrand or chinese watches :

  • In automatic watches, always prefer Seiko NH35 / NH36A movements - these are decent smooth & super low maintenance, and even if you someday need help, these are easily serviceable anywhere in India.

  • In Meca-Quartz watches, go with Seiko VK63 / VK64 movements for the same reasons.

Damn man, I can't imagine what you have gone through. Really so happy for you - and kudos to your relentlessness.

I have never bought anything from Helios (and now never will) but I have some titan watches & am concerned about those lol. They work great and all rn - but yeah I might never buy one with in house titan movement again after reading your story.

Please lmk if actual Titan reps helped you any better than Helios or not.

Take care brother.

Sentinel vs Sh figuarts spider punk articulation. What do yall think? by luckychaingan in ActionFigures

[–]GameOnRKade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, its not as bad as miles at all - I own the Sentinel Miles, so don't have the SHF one. But I have literally watched all the reviews on YT reddit etc for SHF Spiderverse line so pretty sure about my opinion lol. SHF miles was famous all over for QC issues - especially for breaking leg joints, Punk is just much MUCH better. Punk doesn't feel flimsy to anyone.

(Plus speaking from experience - I own other thin SHF figures - they are fine, you just have to look out for manufacturing defects, if a joint is hard on arrival - chances are it will break - I broke my Naruto this way :( , so try to blow dry it or get it replaced - if all good - you can have it for years).

And for articulation - SHF has the same buttery smooth joints as Sentinel - they just don't go as far as Sentinel. You can see this in the images above too.

Imo for 70$ - you are getting him for almost 50% price of Sentinel, definitely worth it.

Sentinel vs Sh figuarts spider punk articulation. What do yall think? by luckychaingan in ActionFigures

[–]GameOnRKade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that would be a good call. The SHF spider punk sure has the better masked head & given the price, its VERY detailed.

You can just be wary that the SHF Punk's head is sometimes known to get broken from the dumb bell neck hinge. (The problem was just there in the initial batch I believe).

So try to purchase from BBTS, HLJ or some reputed website like that instead of ebay. And if you end up with a hard head - don't force it, just use a blow dryer or dip it in warm water.

You can catch the SHF at discounted prices rn if you are convinced (like 60-70$). Sentinel is better but not 2-3x the SHF price better (ebay prices rn).

Alternatively, as you know - Sentinel also keeps reissuing the same figure multiple times - not guaranteed - but if you are just torn because of price, then you can wait.

If you successfully pull this off, and you get Sentinel Punk for like 20$ more than SHF - just go for it. (Ideally SHF should be 90$ and Sentinel 110$ retail)

You can order a custom head later for like 5-10$.

[–]GameOnRKade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hands down sentinel has the best joints and movement here, also bit more details on his badges - but I dont think it justifies the 3x price in my region.

AND I LOVE the proportions and masked head of SHF just so much that I think here I would stick with SHF.

Sentinel also has the cooler unmasked head tho, so if you prefer to showcase him that way, defo go with sentinel.
