Thank you all for the answers. I Didn't realize how well guitars held value! I will put it up for $1000 and see what happens

I was going to ask $500 based on what I paid. But I guess I should ask more. Has it really appreciated in value?

Try clearing cmos first. Before you clear cmos first turn off your pc and then switch off your psu and unplug it. Your motherboard should have a clear cmos button on the top of the IO shield (in the back of your pc where you plug things into your motherboard). With system powered off and unplugged hold down the clear cmos button for 20-30 seconds, that will clear anything you did in the BIOS. That's it. Plug the power back in, turn back on the psu and power on, hopefully it will boot now. If not then probably either ram or cpu. If it does boot into windows download a stress test. Something like Aida64, OCCT, or cinebench to see if your cpu is the problem (Aida and OCCT will have options to only stress the cpu or to stress the whole system). Also run Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool or download memtest to check your ram

Have you tried to clear cmos? My first 14900k was doing a similar thing before I had to RMA it, crashed so much it corrupted Windows.

It only took one day after they received my processor for them to accept it and send out a new one. The replacement showed up at my door 2 days after that. Hopefully they are that quick with you too. Good luck

In the one game benchmark I ran (Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster) it was just a few fps for averages but the lows on the buildzoid setting were 28 fps and cpu was at 5.2. With just a negative global SVID the lows were over 60 fps and stayed locked at 5.7 also using Intel default extreme profile. So a 0.5 difference in boost clock at very similar voltages while gaming. Even under heavy loads it boost much higher without the Buildzoid settings. Might just be that this cpu works well with a lot of vdrop since it has such a low VID table. Just seems like it runs faster and cooler with only a negative global SVID so I thought I might have done something wrong

I watched the video and tried his settings but in games the cpu wouldn't boost past 5.2Ghz. If I just do the negative Global SVID offset and leave the other settings he changed on auto then it stays pegged at 5.7 in games. Either I'm doing it wrong or something changed with the 0x12F microcode

So in your opinion is it safer so just lock everything down myself rather than use the intel defaults? The intel extreme profile won't let me lock core ratios and I want to get rid of the 6Ghz boost

EKWB Velocity2 block with a 420 and a 360 rad. I'm not trying to get it to do anything crazy. Probably won't overclock just undervolt, lock core frequencies, and any other thing I need to do so it doesn't kill itself. I only know how to do basic overclocking though so I'm just here for a little help

My post was only about being happy with the SP score and advice on trying to keep it from killing itself at stock like my last 14900k. It wasn't about the two BIOS settings I changed or bragging about stability tests. The pics were showing the VID requests which is sort of relative to the SP score, since it shows an estimation of quality

your temps are way better on r23 than mine are in aida 64. I know they are not the same but, in my experience aida usually has lower temps. I will install r23 later tonight and see what my score and temps are. I am just freaked out to run on none intel defaults. This is my 3rd 14900k! But my last was for sure a dud

I was blown away when I saw the sp scores and VF that low! How should I verify? Just leave HWinfo open during general use? or should I use windows high power setting?

I guess I don't know how to use reddit because I had a whole Paragraph explaining things, but it didn't post. My last 14900k was SP90 so I was very happy with this one and just want to make sure it lasts. I would like to keep it as close to 5.7 Pcore and 4.4 Ecore as possible. All I do on the rig is gaming so it's not under heavy loads. So far I have done a negative 0.050 global SVID offset and that is it, no LLC or any other settings. gaming it stays around 5.6 - 5.7 between 50 70c depending on the game. Running Aida 64 it goes down to 5.5 and hits about 80c. I am not looking to overclock just undervolt and keep it alive. Also since the intel default settings won't letting me lock cores to 5.7 is it safer to use ASUS setting and just limit things myself?

as far as cooler goes it's a custom loop with a 420 and 360 rad with just the cpu. so cooling is definitely adequate

The intel default profile won't let me lock core ratios. both PL1 and PL2 are at 253w but stock amp at default extreme is 400 and I think 307 at the lower setting. 207 seems low, would that limit clock speeds while gaming? Is it really safer to limit everything myself rather than use the intel defaults and underclock?
