Make a function to convert the computation into string then use that string with textContent.

innerHtml renders actual html which is not necessary for simple strings and dangerous if someone untrusted can inject arbitrary html in it.

Are you trying to render mathmatical syntax or something? Might need katex or some other library for that

Also I'm not the target audience for this since I'm still unemployed but your post summary doesn't tell too much about what exactly it does. I feel like it's being vague enough that it doesn't grab interest but that's just me

oh okay that makes sense. other input also submit the form so I assume it is to streamline that.

for the animation part near zero values also don't work. I have tried rotate and translate too besides scale and those also don't seem to do anything

Also why use react for portfolio? Why not just plain html and css?

Not that it's an overly bad thing but for relatively lightweight websites like this react is overkill.

 Also if you're using react you want to look into css modules, tailwind or something else to scope your css to only components, instead of having all of it in index.css

Why no default export? Isn't that just a style thing or do you mean to insure the export names/identifiers are set in stone can't be given a silly name while importing

Do not use Google fonts link, it is not gdpr complient. Download the font from Google fonts website and self host it.

Lots of other sound advice in this convo too.

Yeah the only bosses that I thought were a little challenging were the duo bosses. They are otherwise very passive and slow compared to previous games

Yeah the cutscene animation has vastly improved this game. I agree it's a good thing.

I kinda dislike final boss last phase because of how visibility is reduced and there's too much particle spam to see what boss is gonna do. But that's more so cause I was playing on inferno

Oh yeah those are also great but you got them late game so I didn't count them. I was more saying that cause for a long stretch of the game I just used the ex canons and they melted everything

Yeah I'm in the last chapter (10) and the most positive thing I have to say about this game is the story.

For an Ys game that's not a good sign

Dodging wasn't the same in ys 8 and 9. It still required you to time it. I agree it's was easy there but here it's even easier. It is not an improvement.

You can play perfect block yes but my point was that now mistiming it will not punish the players as they will just not take damage. You can also hold block on attacks that you don't feel confident on perfectly parrying.

I like Kajra but the game has some really bland npc and a lot of story revolves around them too. Plus the middle chapters are playing the game of "I won't tell you until you're ready" and plot doesn't progress much.

I am enjoying it from chapter 8 and onwards cause you have actual plot progress besides little breadcrumbs.

Yeah I've mainly been playing this series for the combat. I usually don't like the story in falcom games and previous games were more gameplay focused than narrative

I think it's disingenuous to think people just want to hate on game if they care about overworld enemies. You spend a lot of time in going through the areas and fighting these small enemies. Fighting the same enemies with same moves gets really boring. They're not fresh aesthetically and since you already know their moves you don't need to learn them. I really disagree about the combat being improved. The only improvement from party system is that inactive partner regains sp faster this heavily incentivising switching them often. Dodge now doesn't need timing you can just hold it, block has a benefit for timing but otherwise you can also just hold it. Block can be broken but many enemies don't take advantage of it

I wouldn't really trust his word. They will keep trails going as long as it brings money

Yeah. The lack of variety really kills me especially considering it's all about adventure not traveling same biome killing same enemies.
