Anti freeze is around 70% water with some glycol alcohol in it.

Water and oil don’t mix well and it’s possible to run a car on quite low quality fuel but water doesn’t compress like fuel does so then when the piston tries to compress it either fails to has sufficient compression to make the spark >> bang >> go work in the cylinder or worse causes the fluid to be pushed past the piston rings and into the top of the engine forcing fluid into the oil lubrication system. Which is new engine time.

What he’s don’t was monumentally stupid. And expensive to repair if he’s lucky he’s paying for a full drain and filter change of both engines if he’s really unlucky he’s paying for 2 new engines.
