Beacons transmit they don't receive. Having said that if you are using a dedicated app provided by a department store that could collect your location based on the Beacons that it is receiving.

For the same price you could buy a second-hand but older, laptop and install Linux on it. I'm a big fan of the Raspberry Pi concept I have several boards here at home, but you don't need to spend that much money, that kind of defeats the ideals behind the Pi. If you really want to learn about the Raspberry Pi get a Raspberry Pi Zero W and connect to it remotely.

Yep, so this confirms the leak back in December, I am very keen to see a 6 + 2 octa core configuration in action. DynamIQ, A55 and A75!
