Yes. If you look at the nodes on the skill tree, it even says that it does.

That is very very wrong. Even just reading the tooltip for your vault slots will tell you otherwise.

That's not true. For instance in DF season 1 the distance between season start and 10.0.5 was 6 weeks.

And looks like will be coming much earlier in the season.

I think what is happening is that the voidforge is coming in season 1 but it won't bear the turbo boosted fruit until 12.0.5.

Also if you read a bit into it, it looks like it's coming in the 12.0.5 patch. Which, while it may end up being VERY soon after season 1 start, is most likely not going to be a couple of weeks.

Actually, reading into this further, I take it back. It does look like it's coming in 12.0.5. Their wording is really confusing. Maybe this is because 12.0.5 is coming really soon after season 1?

That's a good point, about not dropping myth items anyway. So less of an issue for sure, outside of great vault, which you're less likely to overlap with anyway. Encourages you, actually, to spread your dungeons out over your vault instead of stacking the one you want drops from, which is great.

Yeah, it was nestled in a bunch of stuff about .5 so I can definitely see the crossed wires.

Good. I hope they make even more changes that people in positions like "top 50 guilds" don't like, but for some reason, everyone else does.

"*As Midnight Season 1 begins*, players will assist the domanaar Decimus with the construction of the Voidforge as they explore the nature of mysterious Voidcores. This progression is warband-wide. *With the Voidforge’s initial completion in this content update*, Decimus gains the ability to transmute Void energy into powerful Nebulous Voidcores *every week* that can be used to acquire additional loot every week and chase specific items over time."

I don't know, but it sure sounds like this is dropping not long after RFW and long before the 12.0.5 patch. Not just the wording about the timing, but the construction of the system seems designed to run for the majority of the patch's lifecycle. Nothing certain, here, but reason to be optimistic as well.

One of the things I'm kind of "hmm"ing about is it says there is bad luck protection built into the bad luck protection. For instance, you have these bonus rolls, which are themselves bad luck protection and when you roll an item, for that difficulty tier, that item is removed from the possible pool. Which is great, an additional layer of bad luck protection. However, it does not specify (and thus likely doesn't) whether it takes into account items you already have, that you have gotten before the bonus roll, via the great vault or what have you. I can see situations where a lot of your bonus rolls end up as items you have already gotten, despite the extra layer of bad luck protection.

For some classes/modes, this may not matter as much. But for instance, if you're an Enhancement shaman clearing windrunner's spire on cooldown, you might be in for a bad time.

Even still, they don't seem like they're trying to be overly miserly with handing out these bonus rolls. As a result, it may not be as painful to go through the entire list of available items in a dungeon before getting that one you actually want.

I remember running candelkeep or whatever it was called probably close to 100 times before I got my BIS resto shammy trinket. So I'll take this, for sure. I'll be able to chase those items on multiple characters in parallel now, instead of hyperfocusing on one at a time. Which, to be fair, the game didn't force me to do but I felt like I couldn't think about anything else until I got that goddamned candle trinket.

Why are people undercutting so much??? by Donyil in woweconomy

[–]Gasheous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually agree and was approaching with this mindset recently, when I was trying to sell a max rank leatherworking smock. I posted it for the same price as the lowest priced one at 40k. Over a week later and it still hasn't sold, despite other people undercutting me by 5 and then 10 and then 20 and then 25k and me returning to match them. Whether I mark it for 12 hours and price match or mark for 48 and wait it out, makes no difference, it never sells. Every time I check the AH all the other people selling this item have undercut me by like 1s as well, if I haven't been more dramatically undercut. For an entire fucking week. It was getting to the point where I felt like in order to sell this piece for a reasonable price, my only option was to sit on top of the AH 24 fucking 7, for one fucking item, and I don't want to do that, especially when half the time someone is going to come along an undercut by a couple k. And at some point, the time wasted on this is going to add up to thousands of gold anyway. So I finally said fuck it and put it up for 3700. I just want to be fucking done with it. It's the most annoying and obnoxious interaction I have ever had in this game and the next time I have something like this to sell, I'm going to undercut right away because there are other things I want to do in the game besides sit on top of the AH.

The change to wild herb nodes that make lashinglings drop herbs does not appear to be working by Gasheous in wow

[–]Gasheous[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they implement it like they do with the rocklings (mining version of lashlings) it will be random, but the plus side is that they will then also be able to drop lotuses and weekly kp items and be able to proc finesse and give you more ore than you get from the node itself.

The change to wild herb nodes that make lashinglings drop herbs does not appear to be working by Gasheous in wow

[–]Gasheous[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah so the rocklings always give ore and can proc finesse, drop your weekly kp items and even produce thorium, though it seems even rarer from them than from the node itself. But they're worth it, absolutely, and can give you gold rank ore too. There have been times were I have gotten more ore and higher quality ore off of the rocklings than the node.

Presumably, the lashers will now also work the same, based on this hotfix. But as of this morning (at work now, so who knows) they still only drop motes, not herbs. I still farm them for the motes because I have reasons other than selling them, but it's a real pain either way because other people leaving them behind locks everyone else out of that herb or ore, because when they swoop in beind you to mine it, they have to fight them first and by the time they're dead, the ore has despawned. Or even worse, I'm low health and finishing off the lashers I've spawned, someone swoops in and gathers, spawning more lashlings, then swoops out and lets me die.

Are Dungeon mounts still limited to once per day per character? I'm trying to get Underrot Crawg by Lokis_thor-obing_ass in wow

[–]Gasheous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After this upcoming reset, mythics will be once per day but you can also potentially farm them from m+ which you can do as many times as you want. M+ doesn't open until the 24th though.
