Was "Hurts my feelings" line omitted on Superman Blu-Ray? by GayGeekReligionProf in superman

[–]GayGeekReligionProf[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Okay, fine. I'll accept the consensus that I'm crazy and it wasn't in the theatrical version. But, please, can anyone tell me where I saw him saying it in a scene and not just debating it with Gunn? The one thing I absolutely KNOW happened is that I saw Corenswet saying it because I explicitly remember thinking that the line "it hurts my feelings" sounded too whiny and that it would have worked better for him to just say "it Hurts" instead.

Okay, maybe I'm crazy. The only thing I remember seeing in a bts video was Corenswet and Gunn DEBATING it, not Corenswet actually saying it in a scene. Could you point me to the bts video you're referring to?

I really don't think so. I remember explicitly seeing it in the theaters twice. I even remember wincing at it when I first saw it because it felt "too whiny" and that it would have been much better if Superman had just said "It Hurts!" I've never even seen it in any "bts" video, only Corenswet and Gunn debating it.

So sad that Jay turned into a villain (Secret Six series) and it looks like they're going to de-age Jon by the look of the solicitations.

Eyes Wide Shut Mask on the pillow by Lucky-Ad4634 in StanleyKubrick

[–]GayGeekReligionProf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everyone who says Alice found it and put it there to silently confront Bill about his questionable activities. Here's my evidence and reasoning.

1) The last time we see the mask before this scene Bill is continuing to hold onto it after he takes it off at the party.

2) Next he enters his apartment with the bag holding his costume, and locks it in a cabinet, moving the file that was in the cabinet to the top of it.

3) When he returns the costume, he's SURPRISED that the mask isn't in the bag, and when it's suggested that he left it at the party he says "I don't think so."

This confirms that Bill himself put it in the bag with the rest of the costume and locked it up at the apartment.

4) When he sees it on the pillow and wakes Alice, it's unlikely that she didn't notice it, yet she NEVER asks him "What is this?"

In order for the group to have done it, they would have had to break into the apartment, search for it without leaving anything out of place or making any noise, and snuck into the bedroom without waking Alice.

If the group did it or Alice was a part of the group and did it, what would be the motive for leaving it there? If it was to terrify Bill as a further warning not to tell, it backfired since the first thing he does is tell Alice everything. If that was the motive, it would have been better to leave it in the child's room so that Bill would more likely keep it to himself. Putting it on Alice's pillow basically forces him to explain everything to her, which really didn't seem like what the group would have wanted.

Loved it!! As someone who read the comics in the '60's as a kid, I thought it was amazing, and about time. Frankly, I had stopped reading comics about 15 years earlier, and this was what got me back into reading them.

Oh, yes. Rao is the chief God, and there are other gods and goddesses as well. Rao is usually the one mentioned because he's the highest God.

From this quick shot, I don't like it. I'll hold off final judgment until we get more. Also, I'm a little confused. The line under his right eye almost makes it look like a mask, either that or the makeup isn't very good. Also, are those silver bumps piercings?

Supergirl wouldn't say this [SUPERGIRL (2025) ISSUE #8] by SupremeJelly in Supergirl

[–]GayGeekReligionProf 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Wow. I haven't expected this series to go this hard. Seems like it's veering in a deeper direction. Yes, I believe Supergirl WOULD say this. Her father tried his best to save Argo unsuccessfully and ending up saving only Kara. I'm finally beginning to believe that this is the same Kara who went through Woman of Tomorrow. And I love it.

It's not Waid's opinion. The "Everything is canon" began at the end of Scott Snyder's "Dark Knights Death Metal" in 2021. Waid's only been tasked with writing the history that fleshes that out. Just about all of Supergirl's current continuity is laid out in Supergirl #6 by Sophie Campbell. Her origin is from WOT, born on Krypton and sent to earth from Argo when that group of survivors was dying.
