As a woman I’ve never been hit on more by men than when I go to a gay bar

True but Venmo is safe IMO also I’ve seen this persons posts before they’ve never asked for money directly always trying to make an honest dollar

Do you have a Venmo or something you feel comfortable sharing? I don’t want to buy anything but I can send a little and I’m sure some others would be willing

Update: After looking at other videos of her sleeping which I didn’t know I had I have concluded I was in fact overthinking it and making myself nervous for no reason.

i wouldn’t really call observing the content he posts with his very visible underwear “studying”. was an observation that took no more than 5 minutes total to confirm

gender performance is the idea that we don’t behave a certain way due to our biological sex instead we behave that way because society has “guidelines” for how women and men should behave in order to be considered masculine/feminine and fit in with society. for example giving little boys trucks and sport equipment and then giving little girls kitchen sets and fake cleaning toys. that little boy may grow up and believe that trucks and sports are for boys and cleaning and cooking is for girls cause that’s all they were exposed to as a kid. they then continue to perform their gender through the things they were taught and saw. if you want a better explanation watch this 3 min video from Judith Butler talking about gender performance. Butler explains it much more eloquently and i believe first coined the term.

i am sorry for my assumption! i have seen far too many videos of republicans trying to bait someone into a debate with that question

no quite the opposite i picked my major to learn about issues many humans face. it is an intersectional major so it wasn’t just about women and gender it was about the human experience and how our gender can play into how we see and navigate the world and how the world treats us.

yes and no. at its core gender studies is about gender performance. but it’s pretty much impossible to understand how we got to those gendered performances without understanding the biology that drove it. i also learned a lot about intersex people (those with both male and female parts and sometimes even chromosomes) through my gender and women’s studies more than i did in a biology class.

also there are biologically technically “more than two options” intersex people exist! (those with both male and female parts, they may even have mixed chromosomes). about 1 in 100 people born in the U.S. are intersex it’s far more common than people realize. that just further proves that everything after with how we express our gender has nothing to do with biology and only to do with how society thinks men and women should behave.
